Re: I need help / advice for naish pivot 2018

1) Well, the kite loop potential is definitely there. This is the kite Langeree won Red Bull King of the Air. If you start the loop a tad earlier it tends to go with a bit more power....when I re-read your issues it might not be the issue here. Maybe you just need a tad more height to allow the kite...

Re: Pivot evolution

Thanks for the replies. One more question. Does the 14m have the great DNA as the smaller sizes, I mean for a 14m kite? Definitely for a 14 it has. I only had a few sessions on my 14 way back so I can't comment on the past two years. To me it was a great mix between the big and small kite feel. It ...

Re: Pivot evolution

Any news on the new Pivot - I saw somewhere they were going to be black with the Naish Skull & Crossbones ?? Aside from the aesthetics (Homer Simpson style) - mmmmmm.... black kites with skulls... will be interested to hear what the canopy/bridle changes are? What is the new valve like and are they...

Re: What's up with Naish directionals?

I have an ancient Naish Global 6' 0" directional that I enjoy a lot, despite not being the most competent in the large waves it is supposedly designed for. I'm considering getting their alternative "Go-To" board, which has a flatter and shorter shape. Three issues. First, why did Naish go from the ...

Re: Pivot evolution

Does the Pivot sit in the same area of the wind window now vs a few years ago? Is it fair to say the kite has skewed slightly toward all around/big air vs all around/wave? And finally, how is the overall durability of the Pivot? Thank you. Naish kites are built super strong. The past few seasons th...

Re: Low end grunt of naish boxer Vs pivot

What low end are you guys getting with a 9m pivot on hydrofoil, or what do you think is realistic ? If you could include your weight that would be helpful. Thanks I'm 190, i would say 15 kts (I used to use my 10m pivot at maybe 14?). hmm, I think it depends on the size of the foil and on the size o...

I have had 2017's & 2019's. The 2019's are a step up if you can believe it. I would get a 6 simply because, in 20 years of kiting, the Pivot 6 is my favorite kite. It's fast, fast, fast & powerful. Super fun kite!!!!
2020 8 meter pivot is my favorite. And 7 Slash haha. Can't choose.

Also there was a rumor going around that North was actually stolen from the compass directions company and they had to change it.

Re: First time wave riding

I think the board is fine. It is also fine to get a board like the skater from Naish but it depends on how you want to ride. I think, like Peter, that starting with a slightly smaller board is great. The conditions you'll go in is similar to the conditions you'd go in with a TT, and you'd need more ...

Re: Naish Torque bar ends dangerous?

So I guess hard plastic is relative, but I also think they feel pretty soft. Definitely not something I would assume could do much damage. Also, look here is a few pics...I am not applying much force on the tab at all and it bends away. Yeah I should have rinsed off my bar but I never do. In my 20 y...
