Re: Naish Phoenix 9 thoughts

Anyone who tried phoenix and could compare it to naish draft? It looks like the same :) Draft is still a great kite, I would only change lighter bar pressure Yeah this is the reason I got it. The way I remember the draft...this feels tighter and much updated, but I get what you are saying. I certai...

Re: Naish Phoenix 9 thoughts

I think you normally ride Pivots, yeah? How does the Phoenix turn in comparison? I happen to like kites like the Dice, Dash, or C kites that turn on a wingtip unlike the Pivot that literally pivots about its center strut. What is the Phoenix like? Default low vee setting? (I think the bridle adjust...

Re: What happened here? - kite inverted

This can happen when the kite suddenly becomes loaded and there is a lot of resistance.
Gust of wind or loop and heavy rider in the water.
Without knowing the terminology I think structural stiffness of the LE and sudden heavy load on it makes it buckle

Naish Phoenix 9 thoughts

So I finally got my 9 Phoenix out with my TT on a gusty day. What a ride. Tbh I have not used a tt much the past years so I still have a lot of work to do to get back to my tricks but damn I had a blast. Wind was a bit holey and water choppy with side off wind 25-30...someone suggesting gusting to 5...

Re: 2023 Naish Pivot S27

The thing is, it is often like 6,5 - 7 m/s at my local spots, so i barely get going with a 12m and a big board. I like to have that option. If it was more windy on a regular, an 11m would be Ideal. I think a 13m would be more optimal for my local spot than an 11m (unfortunately). 12/10/8 would be a...

Re: 2023 Naish Pivot S27

I tried a 12m Slingshot Machine, and it was so easy to get upwind. But it was super slow turning, so it is not for me. I think the Phoenix is in the same category of high aspect kite. Nice to know about the Enduro. Those characteristics are exactly what I don't want. Yeah the high AR are usually sl...

Re: 2023 Naish Pivot S27

I was wondering if there are more reports from you guys on the 12m Pivot s27? I'm getting tired of the downwind pull on my 2017 12m Pivot, making it a chore to ride. But I'm still a little hesitaint at getting a new Pivot s27 12m as I'm not happy with the 2017 model. I would feel so stupid if there...

Re: Once again A failure from Naish

Don't screw one screw all the way in first.

Do a few round alternatively. Anyways not sure how this really does much other that a rant.

I like the CL...I don't unhook anymore so I'd rather have a smaller CL
