I love to hear reviews of people who already fly others light weight kites. I think a lots of comments here are from people experiencing lightweight kites for the first time... I can foil in less than 12 knots easily with a 6m Airush Ultra and 85 kg.
I saw the Greg videos and I thought wow I want to do that!!. Now I'm doing it too.. I see winging videos and riding with wingers in flat water and it looks so boring. And I must admit that surfing with a foil is not as true as feeling the wave with a surfboard so I suppose is similar with a surf foi...
I have a Levitaz Cruizer that sinks like a stone but prefer my the moses w633 because is ready to water start, when a fall when carving in 4 seconds I'm riding again and I love it. Don't touch that wing is perfect!
I'm selling Levitaz with a 50% discount if someone is interested.
The question is does it make a huge difference 0.5kg in lightwind (7-9 knots)? In 7 knots 0.5 kg is a lot. I always try to sail with less wind and I can ride with 12 ultra and long lines when people use 18m race kites o ozone hyperlinks...these have to fight in lulls and bow ties while my kite cope...
Peter is so right, if you have a kite with a grate low end, very light weight and it don't eject you in each sheeting...you have a Airush Ultra. The perfect LEI kite for foiling, at least for me.
