Re: Would you give any advice for kiteboarding with C-style kites?

One benefit of an older c kite is that it teaches the lost art of having to edge the board very hard to get the kite forward in the window to get upwind or depower the kite. It's hard to explain how different flying those kites were back in the early 2000's. Imagine not being able to hang out on the...

I wonder if the octopus graphic is realistic enough to get the sharks attention!

Canadians are fine in 3/2 or a 2mm shorty. Floridians probably a Ocean Rodeo soul drysuit will keep you chilly but alive !

This is a walk in the park compared to the brain eating amoeba that enters through your nose.

Re: Maui in November

The trades get more inconsistent through the fall. Remember looking ahead and waiting for them to return, pure torture lol. I would pick up a used surfboard on the cheap when you get there, sell it before you leave or donate it to a local. You could hang out in the "pro pool" with your boot setup, t...

Re: Twin tip stance width and performance

The stance will also affect the flex of the board might be negligible depending on your skill level and the flex of board. Learned that with snowboarding.

Re: Struts of Slingshot Rally 2016 are not as hard as leading edge

Re: Kite breaking point

I'm a 190kg rider that loops in high wind, every once in a while, i can "buckle" the kite for maybe a second or two. The most stress on a kite comes when you are in the water and the kite goes through the power zone or loops. I'm amazed that i haven't broken a line or attachment point or had a kite ...

Re: Naish Pivot S26... lacking low end power?

I must have gotten a "unicorn " My s25 9 mtr pulls like a tank! I'm 225lbs and the range is incredible. I'm powered up when others are on 12's.The low-end is around 18mph for me on a 140 raptor ltd. Its a looping machine. I've used my 11 mtr several times and it flys like a 12-14. I avoid it at all ...
