Re: 2015 Kite Warranty Issue

I gently tomahawked my kite, and damaged it. Gotta be a manufacturing defect, right?

Re: Anyone kited the Slingshot SP Wakesurfer?

Yes, strapless only, but the videos I've seen of the Nugget were of people riding strapless. As a lightwind directional kiteboard, strapless would be what I want anyway. My local crew all ride strapless, when it is a lightwind surfboard. This thing cost me a bit over a third of the Nugget price. An...

Re: Best kite for unhooked tricks between 8 and 12 knots?

No brainer pop tricks are hysterically easy with the 28M http://a.pc.lostcherry.com/52/31/1325/2164949606.jpg Low end range is debatable http://www.autozubehoer-tuning.de/28m-7kmh-cruising.jpg If you try to send a boost, you will be lucky to get 3' off the water. If you rode the kite parked off a ki...

Re: 5th line on bridal kites

This is an interesting topic. I have also felt uneasy with the mini-5s or suicide-lite leashed depower options on many of the modern SLE stock bars. I ride C-kites more often then not, and use a 5th-line on those, however, with only one bar, I find the 5th-line behaves badly when out of tune to the ...

Re: Legless White Haired Guy

Awesome Billie, Almost nothing is possible if you set your mind to it. My best buddy from high school had two prosthetic legs, one above knee, and he played soccer with us. Kind of gnarly to get clipped when he did sliding tackles, but he is just one of the guys. :-) A. Rightio man...., wait, what?...

Re: What's the best bar setup you've come up with?

Minor modifications. Yes, it's the flexifoil spinner. I prefer the above the bar for riding my C's https://www.msu.edu/user/pennnoah/cou1.jpg https://www.msu.edu/user/pennnoah/5thlineb.jpg Now I'm after another SLE bar, but my hunt is going poorly. Wants: Ambidextrous bar grip. I can hook up and rid...

Re: Garage kite and board rack

Get some sturdy metal racks. I used a closet organizer which I got at a shopping club store for like $85. Used half for a kite rack, the other for another shoe shelf for wifey. I could hang my wetsuit off the top shelf which juts out. But instead I have an over head surfboard rack in my garage, to h...

Re: Which kite sells for a Premium on the second hand market

I don't think its practical to just look at resale. You have to look at the difference between retail and resale. For example, a kite you buy fro $2000 and reselling for $1000 is worse off than a kite you buy for $1000 and sell for $500. Both are 50% of retail but you're losing a $1000/kite per yea...
