Re: Mystic Majestic vs Mystic Majestic X: differences in fit and comfort

I tested both a few weeks ago for 30min each in some good strong wind. The Majestic had a stealth bar and X with standard bar. Both fit comfortably and didn't ride up so I don't see need for stealth bar. The stealth bar might help if you have a bigger stomach and your spreader bar usually moves up d...

Re: The craziness is underway in Cape Town

That lagoon only fills up in the winter months after some decent rain. Then it dries up in a few weeks of no rain. It is also slightly tidal so it has more water in at high tide. I have kited it in SE and NW but the best direction is W. On less stormy days the bird people chase you away saying the k...

Re: The craziness is underway in Cape Town

We had a tough two-month break from kiting thanks to lockdown. Missed a few good foil days but watched a some windsurfers enjoying themselves at Sunset beach. Most of us started kiting again at the beginning of June when we went to level 3. Yesterday we had a fun little stormy NW session at Noordhoe...

Oh that sucks man  I'll keep an eye out. Was this your place in Milnerton? Most I've had stolen from me was a kite pump. I keep all my kite stuff in my flat.

Re: The craziness is underway in Cape Town

March has been quite a quiet month, wind-wise and tourist-wise. Only had 9 sessions this month and its a lot less crowded. We had an awesome 25kn+ past Sunday so we planned to do a downwinder from Ganzekraal to Saldanha. Unfortunately, the wind dropped to about 15 knots at Tsaarsbank so we aborted t...

Re: Red Bull King of the Air 2020 - all info here

Maybe Sunday as well ? Sunday should also be 25kn+ but much more gusty(dangerous). No reason they cannot complete the contest in one day like they did back in 2013/2014. 34 heats x 8 minutes = 4.5hours. If they take a 5 minute break between heats it is 7 hours. If they start at 10:30 they can be do...
