Re: Care and feeding of your kite

Simply avoid dragging your kite around on the ground. Take care on land to avoid dragging it against hard stuff. Pack it away clean and dry. Don't be a dick. Re: Wichard Snap Shackles - why so much $$$?!

Re: Is kite boarding/ kitesurfing a boardsport or a kite sport?

I’m sure there are good and bad reasons to be part of any large overseeing group. I tend to follow what Groucho thought; I would never join a group that would have me as a member. Just go kite. (If you can right now) Also, it’s not a kite or board sport. Sport diminishes it, If done properly it is n...

Paint store, spray on non skid. Yellows after 3 years but so what. Can make it as smooth/rough as you like depending on how many layers you spray on.

Those things are great for catching lines and causing death loops.
I don’t think he meant to ride with them, Just for winding/unwinding lines on the beach? Then remove while on the water.

Re: Covid-19 - Resuming Kiting, In Time

I get the stay-at-home idea to keep others safe and it’s a great idea. The only problem is it only works well if EVERYONE does it well all the time & that will never happen. NEVER. You can not shut everything down, even for a short time. And it needs to be a long time for it to work. There are very ...
