Thanks - that is what I thought, I can have plenty of fun with my normal twin tip anyway so a Mako likely wouldn't be that different of an experience, It’s actually quite a different experience to the point you have to give it a couple of sessions to get the most out of the Mako. The shaper I asked said there are really only 2 tail shapes, pin and square. Others are just minor changes that make no difference other than looks. Pin holds long fast turns better, square shortens the edge line and makes a more pivotal turn so quicker but not as good at speed. And he said fin shap...

Nice pop, unhook loop, finished high. The only thing that went wrong was he let go of the bar. Could have held on and landed it😳

If you can find one of the original Makos, 140X35 I think, they were very fast in chop and you could launch them huge. Very different ride from the newer wider versions.

Please, almost all the big boys that ride hard get hurt. It’s in the nature of pushing limits. Until you know more about what ACTUALLY happened, maybe you could chill just a bit. Although there is probably nothing wrong with wild, unfounded speculation.
