Re: How much difference a kite type makes?

Going from a 3 strut all a rounder to a 5 strut higher aspect ‘big air’ kite there is some small difference in height but the biggest difference I notice is the hang time and distance. The newer 3 strut looper ‘big air’ kites are kind of inbetween. Still plenty of height but hang time is inbetween a...

Re: What causes a strut bladder to herniate?

Maybe the bladder was not inserted fully/properly into the strut and left some open areas where the bladder was not up against the Dacron fully. That will cause stretching and bursting. If so, make sure when you reinsert the bladder it is all the way in with no big wrinkles. You might have to pump t...

Re: No. 1 Mistake Kiters Make when Launching

Not sure why but people seem to get mad 😳🤣😱when you don’t want help with a launch even if you don’t know them or their abilities. I usually say no thanks, I prefer only 1 idiot attached to the kite. They still get mad, go figure

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

Yup, I agree all newbies should wing foil rather than kite foil, it is easier and safer to learn for them and
A beginner winger is just a hazard
A beginner kiter is a menace.
Safer for the rest of us as well!😳🤣

And don’t bring the kite to 12 unless you have a good reason, not just thoughtlessly.

Re: Do we need horns on the bars?

Why should the downwind rider look? He does not have eyes in the back of his head. Upwind jumper has responsibility to avoid collision. Yes, this is true And yet Not all jumps go as planned. Even if you leave lots of room downwind for safety, you can still catch a gust and go much farther than plan...

Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

I rode the SS Burner in the smaller size as I am lighter than you and it was a blast. One of the best boards Slingy has made imo. I think the 5’8” is 30L so might be gret for what you are looking for.

Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

I think he meant Slingshot Dialer, a specific board made by Slingy. I’m wondering if with all the folks moving to foiling or winging if there might not be a lot of used kite surf boards in good shape available? Like a FireWire Tomo Evo in He construction?

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

Aren’t there electric pumps for SUP & rafts that go much higher psi? Not sure, haven’t looked but I seem to remember something about them.
