Bar inserts need be there for smooth & safe operation of the PU tubes
If they are worn a lot replace as soon as you can.... and if missing...do not use the bar until you replace them

Yes what you refer as flag line : part number 6 = Sensor 2 S-Slide Safety Line

The other part number 6a = Sensor 2 S-Slide Depower Tube

Core to re-design the stopper with round sides instead of flat

I thought about using a simple knot but that would reduce the breaking load seriously.
