Re: plastic tubes on depower/safety lines - are they a good thing?

Did you by any chance start a thread about your problem on https://www.germancarforum.com/  My beach car is an 18 years old beat up Civic.....all the ropes on my 7 ba...

Re: plastic tubes on depower/safety lines - are they a good thing?

I am still curious as to how you determine that the plastic line had enough and has to be replaced? How about this idea like they do with toothbrushes When new the depower/safety lines are blue When they turn white from many hours of usage then it's time for new ones https://smedia.webcollage.net/r...

Re: plastic tubes on depower/safety lines - are they a good thing?

My best record breaking a plastic coated line is about 4 months Maybe you bought crap bars. Maybe the environment you kite in is harder on the rope than mine. Maybe you don't look after your bars. I wash mine in fresh water after every use (i put water in a plastic tub and fully submerge the bar an...

Its just me - or are all these guy WAY owerpowered for waveriding?
With straps it would be less of a problem to ride overpowered like that.....a good percentage less wipe outs...leash still needed for competing on the clock

Re: Foil Kite Setup Time

If I had had Lei, I would have been forced to walk 300m up the beach to the school area to get help launching by some newbie. Would have had to hunt for landing and relaunch help. Would have taken a lot more time. I can add. Great session in 10-13 knots OK my turn....i rig a 12 and the wind dies......

Re: Casualty in Sicily

Don't be so sure, if you have new version (tektanium safety line, covered in plastic) - it jams pretty easy with sand, especially on big days, when sand is flying. The problem is that the the metal tube inside the rotator is way too narrow. Wet PU line catches sand and then, even with very little a...
