Re: iUp by Taaroa - the first intelligent hydrofoil

I don’t know if this thing will work or not, but i do love when people try to innovate, without people thinking out of the box some of us would be still using the original Windsurfer. Imagine some of the comments when Cory Roeseler told his friends that he was thinking about waterskiing pulled by a ...

Off-Topic WingFoil Board Bags

I just bought a Ride Engine Moon Buddy 6’ board, and it is so wide and thick that I can’t find a bag to protect it.
Does anybody have a suggestion?

Thank you.

Re: Just not getting it

Some great comments here. The part that took me a while to understand and apply, is that you don't have to edge your board while water starting, it is something that I did instinctively after so many years of riding twin tips. You have to try to stand up while keeping your foil board flat, otherwise...

Re: Is this the most high tech foil?

I spend my days working with computers, and I like not having computers involved in my hobbies. I'd take good old drums/bass/guitar over electro any time, and same thing applies to preferring "old school" foiling over computerized pitch control. I think kiters like the act of finely balancing all t...

Re: Is this the most high tech foil?

I don’t know how far it will go, but I love it as an innovative concept. I don’t share some of the views expressed in this topic. A solution in need of a problem, But Why, etc. Guys, we are grown men (& women) that spend our weekdays dreaming of getting into the water to fly a kite and rip on top of...

Re: Considering a switch to foil kites

Thank you very much everyone for the well intentioned and very useful comments. - Regarding the cold water, after 20 years living in Miami I just don’t feel like kiting in cold water, I am not brave enough. So that is not an issue. - I think it’s a good idea not to get rid of my Rebels yet, and have...

Considering a switch to foil kites

I am thinking more and more about switching from inflatable to foil kites. I think that the re-launchability issues of the past are gone, and it looks like if my main kite discipline is foil boarding, a foil kite will make sense. One question that I still can’t answer is, -generally speaking- can I ...

Re: Is 70cm mast too short for wavefoiling?

I like the 70 quite a lot. Just a few years ago we were getting out past big waves with no mast at all. But a difference is I don’t judge my own riding by the absence of touchdowns and my board is friendly in touchdowns. Sometimes it’s just a chop licking the board and sometimes I put the board dow...

Re: Anyone tried foiling with a wing?

This has probably been answered before.
Would it be realistic to try to wing foil with a Moses W633 wing? Would I need something bigger?

Thank you
