Is there a video or site that you've found from a reputable source that shows how to make a splice? From what I read, you don't have to sew a splice or need to sleeve it.

This i what the Z/Brake-line does.
When sheeted all the way in, the camber of the kite changes.

I belive it's Connor Bainbridge from the F One team on the picture.
He's been riding without a trim on his bar. He's the only one, i've seen skipping this part.

Just a thought from here.
Why don't you mount the (the nice wichard) shackle on your harness and a ring on everybar. This will keep the costs down.
Mounting the shackle with dynema to your hook, and you'll still be able to use the hook if needed.

I made my first foilboard from a nugget. It's the best lightwind foilboard I've tried. I miss it big time.
