Re: Flysurfer, bring back the Psycho 4

Stef, You and I are 100% the same. I am not so into hydrofoil (I do it but not my passion). I am 100% surf with normal surfboards. I surfed since 1976. Windsurfed wave ridding since 1992. Kited since 2000. Ridden every type of LEI. Peter Lynn's, then Flysurfer for the drift. I have old pulse 2's, ps...

Re: Video: If the foil becomes a Spinnaker we obtain stern direction

Valerio, This video is SUPER cool! Thank you! I have been riding foil kites for a really long time for pure surfing for years! To be honest, I've never actually thought about putting the kite into a full blown stall to make it drift in lighter winds even better while on the wave. Might be hard to do...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

We read your feedback and appreciate that you like the Peak and see the potential of the concept. Let's Please not forget the potential for pure surfboard down the line drifting for wave ridding. I have zero experience with single skin kites, but can only imagine it may be the dream kite for pure d...

Re: Surfing Un-hooked

Hey Jwoo, where in Mexico do you ride?

Unhooked wave riding is the best experience you can have. Ben Wilson video tips are well worth the watch:

I foil here a bit with a PEAK 4 11:
Hi Armin,
I understand the Peak kite has much more power than twin skin kite? What size kite would you suggest the Peak 11 meter is close to in power?

Thank you
Jim

Re: Self Landing Foilkites in 20+kts

"I'm going to fly the wing tip right into your hand, just stand there and let it flap downwind of you like a flag and I'll come grab it from you." Then as soon as they grab hold of your wingtip, you run towards them to slack your lines and flag the kite I say the same thing. But I always add : once...

Re: Self Landing Foilkites in 20+kts

Land in a wind Shadow is a good one. Teather with kite at 11, depower and let go of the bar. Run to the kite and catch the bottom wing tip before it hits the deck. Wrap around and object also works Awsome! I never thought to try that teather land. I'm game, I'll try it at least! Wrapping the kite a...

Re: Self Landing Foilkites in 20+kts

wait till you see what a loose kite can do to other kiters. Wait till that ohshit handle breaks or takes your finger off or you lose grip. Being unleashed is very irresponsible the 2 step is rarely a problem. Not going to engage with you, but relax bro. 1. Oh shit handle will not take your fingers ...

Re: soul 12m bridles, first foil kite, please help!

The key to foil kites is the pack down the day before. Watch the Flysurfer videos on how to pack down (I think ozone made some as well). Be very methodical about your pack down. Bit of a learning curve especially in high winds. But the pack down is how to prevent twists. Twists in the bridal are dif...
