Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Is there any option to develop an Woo app to show heights on the Garmin Fenix directly without an Handy between? Only the latest Garmin watches support Bluetooth API - in Fenix line you need at least Fenix 5 or newer. It is possible to develop a WOO app for Garmin watches supporting Bluetooth API -...

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Yeah, we are in a fleeting season of boosting winds - that is when all PBs happen in our area. By the way, if you have not used or even heard of ELF SWIFT kites, I highly recommend them. It is something in between SOUL and SONIC, but only takes the best features from both of these kites :D . Plus it...

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

But, the altitude measurement when kiting is really bad. It goes off of air pressure, which changes with the wind. I'll get altitude changes during a session of hundreds of feet, but I don't jump when kiting. If I wear the watch under my wetsuit, no significant altitude changes. Yes, it is bad enou...

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

The above apps are Data Fields, not actual full blown apps. You can add them to any standard Garmin activity, which already has tracking, pulse, etc. I think Garmin did a pretty good job with that design.

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Thanks! Max speed during last 60 seconds is nice, I use it myself all the time, and I have a very good feedback on it :D . Some people even have it as the only data field on activity, and I'm thinking of doing the same - I pretty much stopped looking at anything else (except for time)! I and most of...

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Hi Aleks, How nice you share the result of your efforts. I am considering to buy a Fenix for kitesurfing, running and cycling. A couple of questions: - Is it possible to plan a certain route (crossing to an island or so) and see on screen your sidetrack error (the distance left or right from your i...

I don’t use it.
You should. If not for yourself then for the rest of us, so we can measure up to you :D . There is an Airstyle too, would be nice to see you on its leaderboard :thumb:

Guess you read it the wrong way around: 15m in 28 knots 😃
Hey Toby, I'm just curious, what does WOO show for you :D ?

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Also i must say i have the woo and got one time on the woo jumps recorded at 28m in 15 kts.... I'm almost sure than half of the top 30 leaderboard is due to some measuring issue. Do you plan to integrate some algo to detect such thing and prevent such fake leaderboard ? OK, let's take one thing at ...
