Re: Aluula Composites | Episode # 135

If you have big tube kites, performing like a foil kite, you have a good market. Look what you pay for a foil kite...so there is a market. Not young freestylers...older guys with cash. I for example hope for a 20 sqm kite that performs like a big foil kite. I hope OR does some testing with this too...

Re: Core Sensor Bar 3 release

It seems to me that this bar will after sometime keep opening this compartment for lines during the session. Like supper annoying things shaking in the bar... I don’t know it seems odd to me to have a moving part like that where the gravity helps to open... Don't worry, I saw they provide an allen ...

Re: rear line adjusters for bar

Thanks evan. I think that one other good compromise is to have 2 eyesxon top and one higher friction (-no plastic eyes), at the bottom. That way you have friction under tension but almost no friction during adjustment. I'll test this next time. Ideally, as i trim once orctwice in a session ony, i w...

Re: What does apparent wind really bring ?

Great thread, really interesting to someone like me with a somewhat unscientific mind. I am wondering does the benefit of apparent with vary depending on wind strength? In its simplest form is apparent wind essential to ride in light wind and of no use once you have 10 knots plus, (unless going dee...

Re: Aluula Composites | Episode # 135

So the principles of flight are quite simple, high lift, low drag and weight. The larger tube diameter offers no benefit on any of those. So to declare that a tube size is for some benefit of flight is incredibly stupid, but then apparently so are most kite designers...hence we have chicken loops. ...

Re: Share your best big air kite spots

Phan rang, Vietnam. Big waves in good angle and f*king gusty shitty wind. If you just hit the gust and wave at right time you'll fly high! Wind varies between 5-20 m/s .. in 5 seconds. I used 7m and 9m kites Im there now. Wind is gusty at the shore, but in the waves it's pretty good, lots of 30kts ...
