Re: The Hop to Pop Technique - the theory

Imo there are only 2 advantages, first it makes edging easier because you throw your weight more into it from the downwards momentum after the hop. Timing with the kite is more difficult though. Second, you take away a bit of the water surface conditions that can throw you a bit off of your board co...

Re: CrazyFly Sick bar 2021 Falling apart mid jump - warning

Faxie said about my complain: “Sounds like a classic case of a customer who will never be satisfied with the warranty offered, and wants the company to crawl up to them, kiss their feet and beg for forgiveness...” And then: “ So why don't you go f*** yourself” Well this is exactly what the cover up...

Re: The Ultimate Wetsuit !?

I had a Ripcurl E-Bomb from 2013 or 14, and that thing looked like it was uses 20 years, after just 6 months. Seams toring apart, lining peeling off, knees splitting open, discoloration. Fit wasn't that great either tbh, forearms and lower legs waaay to small. Got a Ion Onyx after that, and althoug...

Re: Prediction for current at dutch spots (good website or specific rules?)

This is also a good website. Detailed map focusses on Belgium and the south part of the Netherlands though. Still a good reference.

Re: Open palm mittens

Open palms are great on borderline temperture days(around55f) but not if the water is frigid, like in the spring here in New England. They are really only to stop the wind chill and keep your hands warm from the moving air, but if you go down and need to swim your hands are going to freeze, with li...

Re: Jumping question?

Guys, let me know if you make it to Brazil one day…I want to ride with you in max. 17 knots and compare, because I can’t believe what I am reading here. If we talk 17 average, with gusts in mid 20’s, it’s a different story…. I was in Brazil november 2019, and my jumps were noticably lower there. St...
