Re: Control Bar - Accidental Eject

Right, I need to now take action as I think I have just had the same issue as you that's happened to me a 3rd time! Basically I'll be kiting along normally and the chicken loop will suddenly ping off my harness at force dumping my kite in the water.... yesterday was the 3rd time so I now realise th...

Re: Frustrations with Firewire

*frustrations with Firewire's UK/ EU distributor And board bags? Really? agreed probably a better subject title (I have changed it) Bags.... yes, seeing as my board is ready I thought asking about a quick n easy upsell for them before it's shipped might get their attention (that's how my mind would...

Re: Frustrations with Firewire

I know the feeling. It truly adds to the frustration that the extra layers of resellers delay the goods even longer and you pay them for the "privilege"! More direct is the future, other brands may not have exactly what you want but if people keep buying the old way and suffering like this nothing ...

Frustrations with Firewire's UK/ EU distributor

I was hesitant about writing this as I don't like to pass on negativity, especially around smaller kite brands etc, but I could do with any help I can get regarding Firewire orders because at the moment they are having major issues... To summarise: -For months I was trying to get in contact with Fir...

Do you wear a ring on your finger when kiting?

Should you kite wearing a ring or not? I always take mine off before I kite as I am paranoid about my finger being de-gloved in case lines ever get tangled on it.... although it's a hassle to do so and I keep losing it as a result which isn't ideal! In fact is there much danger in wearing anything r...

Re: Expats and lifestyle numbers growing?

Well I did it 2 years ago and have not since looked back! I meet loads of others working online and traveling with the wind seasons; there's actually a fairly big community of us! My advice would be to just make the leap - things will work out and it's not as hard as you think it will be! Stop putti...

Re: 2 people dead after kite accident in Tarifa

I also agree that it's a beach tragedy, but surely the town could use some of the fees and revenue it receives to keep hundreds of kiters (who provide a great deal of revenue) safe in 'off season' (Tarifa still charges the schools in off season) and not just for sunbathers in peak season? Or just lo...

Re: 2 people dead after kite accident in Tarifa

Such sad news - Tarifa is in shock :( One of the victim's friends is calling for the kitesurfing community to lobby for better safety and wants her appeal to be shared: https://www.facebook.com/akondera/posts/10207907542419883 Please sign this petition to appeal for better safety measures : https://...
