Unfortunately, all hybrid kites, without exception, are significantly worse aerodynamically than singleskin kites. For light to medium light winds I don't see a niche they can fill between singleskin kites and classic parafoils. Unfortunately, you are right..... Moreover, I cannot envision at least...

We were in Salalah with the kids for beach holidays two years ago. There was 8-12kn thermical breeze every day in the afternoon. Would have been very nice for foiling.
