Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

It was fixed in fortaleza. I still love it but unfortunately the board became much heavier. the guy who did the repair said: the foam of the board underneath the foot pad was totally compressed. he sugested the company would use a stronger foam composition to better withstand the mechanical forces. ...

Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

the bws rep‘s answer was: Everytimes we had a delamination problem on a Stallion, it came from an infiltration from a small shock / crack on the unrepaired board. The pads doesn’t help sometimes to see a below. For the repair your shaper really does not need to put carbon, just inject resin and comp...

Re: Issue BWS Stallion V2

Hi I also had problems with my beloved stallion which never had experienced any hard impact. I wrote this to the french represensative: have been riding it for 4 weeks and yesterday I let my son use it and he noticed that the board underneath the front pad was soft. We took the pads off and noticed ...

3 beach houses in Baleia, Ceará, NE Brasil.....

3 adjacent beach houses for sale in Baleia, Ceará, NE Brasil. Baleia is a small fishing village, situated halfway between Fortaleza and Jericoacoara, fortunately not yet well known to the kitesurfing community. Due to its special topography (large area of white dunes in the back and reefs in the fro...

Re: Hydrofoil board leash

sorry, Peter that I am not clear in explaining and you don’t get it.... it is not so much about towing (that was just to demonstrate that a foilboard only more or less goes without lot of resistance in one direction) but rather not loosing your board while trying to relaunch in suboptimal wind condi...

Re: Hydrofoil board leash

Well, I was talking about a low volume board and not a fall (you noticed: it was diving like a brick.) Also not using a „leash“ while kiting, only in situations wit no wind, kite down and maybe waves or current so you will lose your board if not attached. Btw I also ride a moses t 60. but I cannot t...

Re: Hydrofoil board leash

On a hf the board leash has to be attached to the front, preferably a bit to the side, so you don t get hit when the board gets foiling and is faster than you. That is the only way you can drag a hf behind you. You canot pull a hydrofoil with a leash attached to the rear. It will act like an anker a...

Re: Learning to foil- strapped or strapless

If you value safety more over may be a bit more time to learn, you should should use as little straps as possible..... The so called "mushroom" or "flip-flop" gimmick has helped me a lot during my first attempts. I had enough grip on the board, could let got of it in a millisecond and therefore neve...

Chicken loop, depowerstraps and kiteleash good bye!

Well, the North clicker bar and OR stick shift have at least one good thing in common: no need for a frontline depower and as a side-effect one front-line can directly function as a kiteleash. But you can do that also with a standard bar. Here is what I did to my Cabrinha bar: 1) Getting rid of the ...

Re: Anyone replace their Ride Engine rope slider yet?

sorry, probably some dumb questions:
what gives you less abrasion? a thicker or smaller rope?
5 mm as proposed by ride engine?
what would be the disadvantage of a bigger rope eg 3/8" (9mm)? if the bigger the less abraison....
may I have to drill a bigger hole in the carbon spreaderbar...
