Re: Nick Jacobsen - Crane Jump 2.0

Yes....crazy and it doesn't really have much to do with kiting....but let's all celebrate his craziness and if/when an accident does happen we can all complain how it negatively impacts the sports etc etc...

Just because something didn't end in tears does not make it a good decision

Re: IKO insurance worth it?

How is the payout on this insurance?...having insurance is one thing, but having insurance pay out after an issue is another as the insurance company will look for any reason NOT to pay out. Once had worldNomad insurance and broke my ankle kiting while traveling....how much did they pay....nothing.....

Re: Exploding lines. Anyone had this happen? (picture in post)

It's happened to me a few times...usually while mid-loop.
I attribute it to regular wear and tear and 'the price I pay' for riding my gear until it ….well....dies...

Re: 7m kite for freeride, boosting, and general tomfoolery in highwinds

A 7 meter flies nothing like a 14 of the same type and the only way to know which one YOU like best is to test. Any small size kite will respond so much quicker than what you are used to and it will take time to adjust the timing of your tricks. I know plenty of people that don't like flying small k...

Re: Corona Virus - Has your country banned kitesurfing?

British Virgin Islands have closed the borders for all entries to try and keep the islands COVID-19 free.
No reported cases (yet) but the country is in semi-lockdown and no gatherings of more than 20 people are allowed.

luckily for us kiters there are barely 20 kiters on the island

Re: Barbados/Union Island or Anegada/Tortola

Well....as a person living in the BVI I'd recommend going to Barbados/Union, but probably only cause I've never been and it always sounds and looks appealing. That being said Anegada is an awesome place to kite. Don't worry about only seeing twin tips in the waves as there are not many riders here t...

Kite Investment/business opportunity in Brazil

I have two plots of land, on the waterfront of the lagoon, in Ilha do Guajiru and I am looking for a business partner (or investors) to build up the business. Both plots (1st 350M2 & 2nd 2100M2) offer a great opportunity and I am open to suggestions as well. I have worked and lived in this place for...

Re: British Virgin Islands Kitesurfing Travel Guide

Yes you probably can, but I'm pretty sure there are better places to go surf than the Anegada reef. I'm not a surfer, but (apparently) there is a world class break at Cane Garden Bay but that's only right a few times out of the year. The local surfers usually go to Josiah's or Apple/Carrot bay for ...

Re: Boom! Cabrinha has been sold!

First time I heard rumblings of this was back when the whole north-duotone thing happened. Seems to me a lot of the big brands have their share of issues, which I'm sure is the same for the smaller ones as they seem to come and go as well. So many kite-producing brands out there I've never heard of ...
