Re: Moses 2019

... so if the 450 is not shimmed, how does the front foot position change in comparison to using the 483? and how does the 450 change the ride . . . slower to faster, more carvy or less, and . . . ? If 450 is not shimmed you’d need to step forward couple of inches or move mast back which I can’t do...

Re: Moses 2019

I promised I’d compare 483 and 450 stabilizers side by side. so I did yesterday with 683s wing, 710 fuselage, 105cm mast and my 36” woody board under 7m Rally. Session #1 - 450 stabilizer shimmed with 0.9mm washer - felt pretty good. Proper foot position on the board Session #2 - 483 stabilizer, no...

Re: Moses 2019

They both have a slight lean and 105 should be mounted 7mm forward (measured by trailing edge of mast plate) to get the wing into exact same spot as 91. so that would suggest that the 450 actually adds more lift/ front foot pressure if you have to stand an extra 2" forward. Does that sound correct?...

Re: Moses 2019

Last Saturday I rode 683s/710/450/105 and I had to move my feet forward by 2” compared to 683s/749/483/91. I only wonder which one of the three changes caused it (or more than one) and I’ll know in 10 days the latest unless we get good local winds before then. I was wondering about the two masts. T...

Certainly will compare 683s/710/483/91 and 683s/710/450/91 in less than two weeks

Thanks for that, never thought about that.

Which bolts u using? Isn't threaded alu too soft?

When I first started foiling with homemade setup . . . drilled and tapped aluminium for use with 6mm SS bolts to hold wings with no issues.

What was your old Moses rig on which you could stand 2” back?

Please see my edited comment above.

Re: Moses 2019

So do you say you changed from 749 to 710 and had to move forward? It might be the stabilizer, might be the fuselage, might be the different mast. Stay tuned, there will be more comparison to come Sorry no. I had a Zeeko setup and when I changed to the Moses, I had to move 2" forward (to compensate...

Re: Moses 2019

Rode just fine and had great fun (as usual). One thing I noticed for sure was that I needed to stand forward by couple of inches compared to 749/483/91 well . . . that is the opposite of what I had hoped. I am already 2" forward of where I used to ride before I changed to the new Moses rig . . . 68...

Re: Moses 2019

So as I said above I got my 710 fuselage and 450 stabilizer today and had reasons to be glad and had reasons to be disappointed. First thing first, the data (pics below) 749 vs 710 vs 743v1 fuselages Weight 893g | 850g | 989g length between front mast mount hole to nearest wing hole 106mm | 93mm | ...
