Re: Is 70cm mast too short for wavefoiling?

I agree with Jespin 70-85 is the range I would stay in, but everyone has their own prefrences 70 is perfect if you have a narrow board, too wide and you will breach in the carves 90 feels like surfing on stilts to me... but like everyone says, preferences 85 is the biggest I’d go for a wave foil Ac...

Re: Is 70cm mast too short for wavefoiling?

So, currently have moses 91cm mast, but was wondering if the 70cm mast is too short for wavefoiling, typically in choppy conditions? With the 90cm mast, there's no problem, but hard to estimate without trying if the 70cm would be totally different and hitting the chop would become very frequent? Th...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

The broken in effect would be the bridles shrinking to their more designed lengths, which means some shrink has been designed for. It could also highly likely be the rear lines shrinking as flysurfer makes them a bit looser. I thought this but I also thought that it was the lines which have the pul...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

My advice is to leave the bridles alone unless you feel something is not good enough. Flysurfer may have intentionally set them like that. Which is for more stability and reduced depower. I would check symmetry, maybe before or in addition to any mixer check. It is surprising how much symmetry has ...

Forget about it and ride. Too much thinking. Whole point about Peak is - dont think about kite. I never even look on my bridal lines.

I did a few times just to let the bridles set in :)

And then I decided to adjust them so that they were all even . . .

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

A comment about how the lines came set up on my Peak 4.

The B and C did not line up with the A and Z

Do I need to adjust B and C as Armin has shown in his vids that they need to?

My 3m has come setup in the same way.

Re: Small pocket board - looking for recommendation/advice

One thing I think is interesting is that Tarifa Foil Boards' new Pro model race board is only 134cm. Everything's getting smaller, 130cm was a bigger "pocket board" last year, but now it's a full race board. I think this proves that you don't need *more* than 134cm for any discipline. Here's the ov...

Re: Small pocket board - looking for recommendation/advice

I started on 4'6"DC, went to 3'6" DC then to a homemade 37" (94cm) I loved its less swing weight. I bought a 42" Micro. I liked micro but don't need extra length and sold it. Now I have 2 37" boards. One homemade 37" and a Kanaha Shapes 37" Strapless and as said smaller board makes you ride foil no...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Yes, that direction. Use the projected sizes and you will know more. using projected areas if 3 is 2.9m2 then 4 is 3.9 and 5 is 5.3 and 8 is 8.2 To be honest, I like it when the actual sizing is used on LEI (eg: Cloud kites 2.8, 3.7, 4.8 and Gong kites) but actual sizing on the Peak 4 does not equa...
