Re: Winging is half-assed kite foiling - discuss

Winging reminds me of windsurfing, big clunky gear, marginal low end, and not even remotely close to range of a kite.. Not really. No mast, no boom, inflatable wings are compact. The board is bigger than a kite foil board, but not that big & one board will cover all wind ranges. Hmmmmm the boards a...

Re: white shark

I don't worry about it. You're more likely to be killed in an auto accident on the way to the beach than be attacked by a shark, especially while kiting. I'll leave it at this... 1 in 100+ people die in auto accidents compared to about 1 in 3+ million for a shark attacks. :thumb: Is that stat based...

Re: Slingshot 2021 Sentry V1 Bar (any beta?)

Yeah it’s to bad companies “innovate” just to say they have something new to try to keep up with the rat race. The old compstick bars were amazing and the most durable imo. Why did they have to go and change it 🤦🏼‍♂️ The compstick will still be available , it is bomber built and will always have re...

Re: Naish 2021

Has anyone tried changing the bridal setting on the new Pivot yet? I switched it after an overpowered sesh the other day but have not had a chance to fly it yet. I'm guessing that it pinches the leading edge a tad more to a C shape and deminising the projected area(lift)

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Your narrative easily falls apart. What about the COVID death champion -- Belgium (856/100000)? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ What about the socialist paradise -- Sweden -- where they also adopted yahoo approach to the problem and didn't close at all? Belgium uses a different methodolo...

Re: Kite foiling is dying sooo fast

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the multiple leashes needed. I was talking to one of my buddies who has got into the Wing thing, he likes it for many of the reasons stated above but mentioned the leashes are annoying.. Personally it looks too clunky and awkward to me compared to kitefoiling and i...

Re: Pivot Inflation Valve

Pin should be in OUT position when inflating and riding, only push to the IN position when ready to deflate and end sesh.....Great system IMO. I love the way it locks in.

Summer is just a tough time of year in most spots. Give me the chill of fall and spring anyday, with wide open beaches, free parking and little traffic...
