Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia

The Lancelin sand dunes are way more fun for kids than SBay, trust me on that. Pinnacles and Jurian Bay too. People do not kite waves down south, why would they? It is surfing mecca, top Surfing spots. Only a few spots are for kites, coz the wind elsewhere is offshore most of the time. So, no go......

Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia

I did a similar trip in 06... I would highly recommend going a bit south of Perth to the Margret River area, not only is it absolutely beautiful, but there are some incredible beaches to kite. Can be quite wavey though. Also when your around Exmouth, Id' try and spend a week camping in the cape ran...

Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia (Perth - Exmouth)

Hi, If u are from Reunion, maybe u know Herkul? Or even Louis Rouillard? Can hook u up with them. When it blows, it blows hard particularly above Geraldton. And that might be too much for you guys. It is a no go, the waves will be nothing like u used to. U need to plan for injuries, urgent help it ...

Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia (Perth - Exmouth)

Hello, replied earlier: mid March. So hoping for extended season of Seabreeze... Speaking of which, could not register to the forum... Hum that's a new angle... Scope is to have campervan experience with the kids, great scenery and good probability of wind with shallow shark-free water... (coming fr...

I just got back from Exmouth National park (Stay in Osprey - vital you book in advance) stayed there for 3 days it was kiting bliss.
Isn't Osprey a Hotel?
We booked a motorhome so hopefully we'll stay near the shore on some caravan park. Do we need to book these in advance also?

Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia (Perth - Exmouth)

Thanks for your thoughts, Yeah I forgot to write that it will be in mid March (hopping for an extended season of Seabreeze). We decided to stay only for 2 days in Perth, so 12 days of road trip... Anyway, got the feeling that Exmooth is not too be missed, so we will surely ditch some stops or just s...

Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia (Perth - Exmouth)

OK thanks, added 1 day to the trip (11 days total): was planing 4 days in Perth to accomodate a 4 hours jet-lag before hitting the road, but I guess we will definitely need as much time as possible along the coast. Cape Range National Park it is then. Maybe a good option is to drive a lot on the way...

Re: Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia (Perth - Exmouth)

Well... it depends on what you want. I would go with shower + toilet because it gives you a lot of freedom. In the cape range national parks, there are some great camping spots next to the sea that do not have showers. Coronation Beach also does not have showers. Hello @cor, thank you very much for...

Please help me plan for a road-trip in Western Australia

Hello, and my best windy wishes to all for this coming year!! It's in projecting phase for now (plane tickets booked but not paid, waiting for vacation agreement), but we (couple with 2 kids, 6 and 2 years old) are looking into a 9-10 days road-trip along the coast of Western Australia, from Perth t...

Re: You love it - SUP and kite shop in Dusseldorf - Do not buy!

Well... 3 weeks delivery time (when I could have waited twice that much really, as long as everything came before Xmas) for more than 300€ cheaper than everywhere else... I usually do not buy something just because it's on sale (haven't bought anything last Friday ;) ) but yeah, if you don't have an...
