Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Tony, what is your low end with the 8.5? And your weight, if I may ask. Thanks 82kg without any gear. I don't know low end for sure, pretty light, no white caps, only foilers on the water. Wind meter averaging 9-13 knots I'm guessing. This is on a Levitaz Cruizer wing 989cm2 and I'm a beginner foil...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Elguapo, You need to give the 8.5 a chance, take it on the water. I've ridden mine 4 or 5 times now it's a fast fun kite. No issues on the water. I'm sure Ben would put your mind at ease if you reached out to him. I have a 4.5 that I have not unwrapped yet, just haven't seemed to hit the right condi...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Rode the 8.5 again yesterday on the foil in light winds. The winds were side-off in a tough launch on the sound. All the LEI kites were having to go out into the water to get clean wind to launch. I was able to launch from the grass. I did get some collapse/tacos walking out with the kite but it was...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

I'm fairly new to the 8.5, first foil kite, flown 3 times. I have no issues riding with this kite. Very responsive, easy to keep in the air, like the way it flies. I don't know if my bar is perfectly set up for this kite or not but not having issues. I do see tip collapse if standing still with the ...

Re: Lost board OBX kitepoint

Looks like it was not yours. I posted the KF link to the group and the person responded with:
"Thanks, but that is not the one. This was not in the water but was left on the beach and it is not the one described in that post."

There is a post on the OBX Kiteboarding Facebook group from an hour ago about a board found at kitepoint. Check it out.

I'll second the Garmin Fenix. Nothing is perfect but I've been very happy with my Fenix 5. Prefer the buttons to a touch screen, more than I thought.

Re: Kite for waveriding

I'll second what Sonny is saying ... why not a bigger Airush Wave. I have a 7,9,12 and the 12m is the first kite I've ever had that I've liked which is larger than a 10m. It amazes me with it's low end and relaunch capability. My 9 is definitely faster but the 12 has saved a lot of days. My kites ar...

Re: 2019 Watches

I just bought the Garmin Fenix 5 late last month and am very happy. Battery life seems really good, haven't put it to the test but have yet to charge it overnight. Only charge it gets is when connected to my computer to configure or update apps. I didn't care about the maps or music and got the sapp...

Re: Moses Onda is there better for me

How about the AXIS 2019 S-Series 68 Foil? 1120 cm2 front wing and lots of mast options : 60/68/75/90/105cm. Limited reviews but seems like a solid design and no razor sharp edges. Know a guy who sliced the tendon on the top of his foot just by lightly kicking the wing and needed surgery. To me the L...
