I know nobody can travel right now, so the timing for this isn't great, but I commissioned a custom bag built for the traveling foiler who doesn't need a twintip or surfboard length bag ...
Bag looks great. Can you share the details of who did this, I'd be interested.

Re: Ketos Foilers - What boards are you riding

Well my new board arrived yesterday. Decided to be conservative and went with the 118.
We'll see how it compares. If very close my 130 may be for sale :)

Re: Considering a switch to foil kites

I've been slowly switching over ... really liking the CA Firefly, similar to the Peak4 but with a ram-air leading edge ... relaunch! These are super fast and responsive, medium aspect kites. I like them better than LEI's in higher winds, don't get the power spike you do with LEI's. Landing with an a...

Other than adjustable width the Duotone Click Bar fits your requirements.

Re: Single strut kite wind speed?

I think it also can depend on the quality of the wind, is it a consistent 15 or is it up and down. I've had times where my 7m 3-strut worked fine but then the wind would get lighter for a bit and I'd have trouble keeping it in the air. On this particular day I was going back and forth between my Ult...

Re: grand cayman spots

I was there Feb 2-9 and rode at Barkers and the East End ... Colliers Beach. It's pretty much all flat/chop, the island is surrounded by a reef. We stayed in the West Bay about 1/2 mile from Barkers. Rode Barkers most days with ENE to NE winds. Barkers would not work with any S component. Rode the E...

Falling in love with these Firefly's. Have the 2.5 and 4.0. Just ordered up the 6.0. If you are at ll curious you need to try them out. I could go on about them but everyone has a differnt perspective and needs to experience for themselves. We are all different. I've converted! Hit me up if you're i...

Re: Rear wing suggestions for Ketos WaveXL

Update: Ended up buying the S2 stab. Bought the WaveXL before my Grand Cayman trip last week. Rode a few days with the WaveXL and Karver stab that I had. Figured change one variable at a time so have yet to try the S2 with either wing. I'll try some different combos this spring. Most curious to try ...

Re: Caribbean alternative to Cabarete for early February

Been in Grand Cayman this week. I only brought my foil so can only comment from that perspective but the wind has been good. We're staying in an Airbnb in Villa Pappagallo in the West End, just at the entrance to Barkers. Probably one mile to the kite spot. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and it was ...
