Re: Kite-foiling somewhere nice in February?

We did Grand Cayman Islands for a week February 2020. Wish we could go back this year. Stayed in a condo/townhome community up in West Bay which is very close to Barkers. My buddy and I kited and our wives were happy with all the other activities. Kite foiled 5 of 7 days. Great place, a bit pricey b...

Re: Mast Length?

It seems like with length, preference and location are big factors, I don't think there are right or wrong answers. I ride a shallow soundside location most of the time. I started with a 60cm mast and it worked but was a pain in stronger winds with bigger chop ... no margin for error, breaching was ...

Re: Slingshot UFO

I‘m struggling to decide what would be a better 2 kite UFO quiver for Foil/Surf: 9m + 7m, 9m + 5m or 7m + 5m? 80kg 12-16knots = 80% 16-24knots = 18% 24knots = 2% That's a big ask. Where are you willing to compromise? 5m/7m biased to the foil, compromise on the lighter wind surf sessions. 9m/7m, com...

Re: kites for foiling

Hi all, on my airush ultra v2, I'll be using my duotone clickbar. regarding low-v (as I see on the airush bars). is the low-v setting on the clickbar sufficient (meaning lowest position adjuster nob at height of red ball on safety line)? or should I remove the adjuster nob completely? I use the cli...

Re: Airush Ultra vs Cloud for Foiling?

A lot of the comments here are talking about foiling in light/marginal winds, I think that's a little different comparison vs all winds. For me, ultimate low end I'm on a 12m foil kite but I could see an Aluula kite working here as well. I can jump on the 10m Ultra2 in consistent 11-13 or a little m...

Re: Airush Ultra vs Cloud for Foiling?

I just picked up the 7m and 5m Ultra2's on sale. Had a 10m Ultra 2 before that. They are great kites. Super responsive, power when you want it. I'm pretty much 100% foiling these days. Rode the 5m today in 22avg, spot on. 7m 2 days ago avg 17. I rode clouds back in the C2 time when I was on a surfbo...

Re: Armstrong Foil is junk

Did you buy it direct or from a shop? I assume you've tried going back to the shop you bought it from (if that's the case)? I'm pretty sure the shop's I buy from would make this right. I don't ride Armstrong but have seen others riding it and heard nothing but good things. That said, they've probabl...

Re: bar recommendations

The LF Mission Control V2 is a solid bar and they're on sale, both sizes for $249: https://www.realwatersports.com/collections/control-bars/products/liquid-force-mission-control-v2-bar-49-55cm I had the V1. Quality lines, simple bar. The plastic coated depower line is a bit stiff but not an issue un...

I know nobody can travel right now, so the timing for this isn't great, but I commissioned a custom bag built for the traveling foiler who doesn't need a twintip or surfboard length bag ...
Bag looks great. Can you share the details of who did this, I'd be interested.
