Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

How is CA Wave bar pressure ??? Thanks For me, I think it is just right. I have a good feel for where the kite is all the time and never have the impression that it is heavy. As stated my experience on this kite is limited. Also I tend to like a little bit of bar pressure. I don't think someone wou...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

IMO for someone aiming for foilkites and waves on Hydrofoil, the Wave is the ultimate beginner kite: - extremely secure at launch, even plain window without inflation - unbeatable relaunch, - robust/ solid - instant depower better than competition, useful to balance the firsts fights - grunt power ...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Tony have you tried drift launching your Concept Air kite? Where I kite most of the time there is no beach so I stand in waist deep water and partially inflate the kite let it fall on its back. If it's only partially full it drifts slowly. I let the lines off the bar when the kite reaches the end o...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Tony, what is your low end with the 8.5? And your weight, if I may ask. Thanks 82kg without any gear. I don't know low end for sure, pretty light, no white caps, only foilers on the water. Wind meter averaging 9-13 knots I'm guessing. This is on a Levitaz Cruizer wing 989cm2 and I'm a beginner foil...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Elguapo, You need to give the 8.5 a chance, take it on the water. I've ridden mine 4 or 5 times now it's a fast fun kite. No issues on the water. I'm sure Ben would put your mind at ease if you reached out to him. I have a 4.5 that I have not unwrapped yet, just haven't seemed to hit the right condi...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

Rode the 8.5 again yesterday on the foil in light winds. The winds were side-off in a tough launch on the sound. All the LEI kites were having to go out into the water to get clean wind to launch. I was able to launch from the grass. I did get some collapse/tacos walking out with the kite but it was...

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

I'm fairly new to the 8.5, first foil kite, flown 3 times. I have no issues riding with this kite. Very responsive, easy to keep in the air, like the way it flies. I don't know if my bar is perfectly set up for this kite or not but not having issues. I do see tip collapse if standing still with the ...

Re: Lost board OBX kitepoint

Looks like it was not yours. I posted the KF link to the group and the person responded with:
"Thanks, but that is not the one. This was not in the water but was left on the beach and it is not the one described in that post."

There is a post on the OBX Kiteboarding Facebook group from an hour ago about a board found at kitepoint. Check it out.

I'll second the Garmin Fenix. Nothing is perfect but I've been very happy with my Fenix 5. Prefer the buttons to a touch screen, more than I thought.
