Re: Hatteras - March 17 thru 28th ??

Or if anyone has any suggestions on a good kite spot at the end of March. Money is not as much of an issue but extended travel time is. I'm in Hatteras a lot, my favorite place, but March will be cold. I'll be there but there are plenty of places in the Caribbean, easy to get to, that are warm, boa...

Re: Duotone Click vs Trust bar...

I finally ponied up and got a click bar. Have not had it long but really like it, nice and clean. Feels good. I've had (old-North) bars before and am not a fan of the lines, they are functional but should be much better. I switched out the lines and now have a perfect bar, probably the most expensiv...

Re: mystic stealth bar

Friend just had his RE slider rope break, in the middle, new late spring, so not long ago. Can't comment on how many sessions exactly but don't think it was excessive. He ended up losing a new SB in the process. Those with breakage, are you connecting a standard loop on the line or something with le...

Re: Which small kite ?

Problem solved! Firefly 4m and 2.5m Rode the last 3 days with Ben. Did you get a chance to ride the Wave as well? Small single skin kites are super fun but I’ve had limited success relaunching if they get rolled by a wave. The FF is actually a hybrid. Double skin at leading edge and SS the rest. It...

Re: Which small kite ?

Problem solved! Firefly 4m and 2.5m Rode the last 3 days with Ben. Friday was light, avg 9knots, I rode the 12m Pulsion, great kite ... maybe at some point in my future. Very friendly, easy, fun kite. Sat, avg 14/15. Foilers were on 11m/12m, TT'ers on 15m/17m. I rode the 6m Firefly, amazing kite, lo...

Re: Reasonably Minimalistic Bar For Foiling

So far the Kauper XT Pintxo bar looks like what I am looking for. BRM Ccs is to minimalistic for me I want bar ends so that I have a choice to wrap up on self rescue. Wondering why Kauper decided to not ship to Canada or US? I paid up front for one of these bars at the point when they were going to...

Re: Which small kite ?

Thinking my choice will be a Concept Air for a high-wind kite for foiling, we'll see. Lucky to be getting together with Ben mid-week and if the winds cooperate we'll do some riding and I'll get to test out the latest toys. Tony He is also bringing some Fireflys. Make sure you try them. Yup, that's ...
