I don't agree. If you need the depower to trim your kite, your kite wasn't trimmed well at the beginning. I want power, so my trim is with full power with the bar all the way down. If then the wind picks up, I use the depower strap to DEPOWER, so I can hold the kite in stronger winds. Pulling the f...

If I would approach a windsurfer who is starboard on a wave I would just turn away opposite direction so tack downwind... I know not easy strapless...
