Is weight a measure of performance? Esp over time? If the difference is significant then yes. More weight is slower to react, harder to turn, physically more annoying to carry, can increase the difficulty of tricks. It could also make the board more solid and less twitchy and to some degree smoothe...

Thanks for the good info. The repair is for a customer's kite with a torn attachment point and seam so i am trying to do the cleanest job possible. I may need to sew a little strip of fabric along where the tear is uneven/warped before resewing everything. It looks like a straight forward job but ju...

So I have repaired many LEI kite canopies using ripstop sail tape and then 3 step zig-zag stitching it over; is this an appropriate method to repair foil kites too? Or should the tape method be avoided as the tape tends to pucker with time? What are water foil kite skins made from: ripstop nylon or ...

When you fully sheet in at full power (depower rope all the way out) all the lines need to be even, if they are then you should be good to go. Otherwise you will need to do some pigtail,knot, or back leader line swap to get the lines even. As for your second question: it will depend on the kite. A k...
