Re: Switch kites current state of the union

You can contact Switch for free adjustable pigtails Yes I contacted switch and got the canned response please send pictures, so now when I get time I'll roll out the lines and take pictures of the steering line shorter on one side. Like I said brand new bar out of the box can't use with new kite. N...

Re: Switch kites current state of the union

Maybe check lines by attaching to a solid stationary object. Use adjustable pigtails on the end of your lines to make all four even. Thanks Alford, I have calibrated my bars in the past, just didn't think I would need to do it on a new bar. That's just disappointing and frustrating when you just wa...

Re: Switch kites current state of the union

I just picked up an 8m Element 6, I have been riding Nitro 6 12M & 10M for years starting with the Nitro 4, yesterday I was on the Nitro 12 winds were 16-20 with guts of 24. This was an ocean session 3-4ft waves but lost of current. I really wanted to give the Element 6 8m a try but not great condit...

Re: Switch Helium 3

Thanks for the long response, much appreciated! Glad to read I'm not the only one experiencing those hindenburgs. I do not recall pushing the bar out causing it to drop but that's an interesting observation about angles. I think setting the steering lines on the powered knot helps a little bit. Not...

Re: Vote for Dimitri KOTA video

I agree with most of what's been said. But, No2See, do you really think that "Dmitri's thing is more doing tricks lots of people can do....." I don't see "lots of people" doing the stuff Dimitri does. He is creative, stylish and does tricks most people will never do in their dreams. I agree that hi...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

SURF and TT Review: 2018 9m ultra. 17-21 knots side-onshore wind, 2-3 foot waves, 80kg rider, 20m lines, jimmy lewis surfboard and then a crazyfly carbon TT. Very powerful for it's size, I was on the 9m and everyone else on 12ms (riding TT). Again it's a super fast kite and flies very close to edge...

Re: Split board Nobile vs Spleene

I didn't know Spleene did a split board? When I was researching, I heard the Nobile Carbon wasn't worth it, but I didn't try it, so can't say first hand. I ended up with a Concept X Ruler, review here; http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2398218 Got it from here; https://www.you-love-it.eu...

Re: Element 6 what size?

Wow, Not sure what version your referring to in the Nitro, for me the Nitro 6 is anything but slow & doggy in any wind, even the Nitro 5 was not slow & doggy. I had N4 & N5. Never tried the 6. Just to be clear, any fair and honest comparison between 2 kites when discussing new kites should be based ...

Re: Element 6 what size?

The 12 E6 will fly a lot more lively than your N12 did. My experience with Nitros was that unless they were really in the top 1/3rd of their wind range they were slow & doggy. Wow, Not sure what version your referring to in the Nitro, for me the Nitro 6 is anything but slow & doggy in any wind,even...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Thanks Bill for clearing up the "magic" I experience with the Nitro6. The kite feels completely different from the 5 while still feeling like the Nitro, just smoother and more refined in every way. Lighter on the hook, lighter on the bar, responsive, jumps and hang tine very similar to the 5. It was...
