Re: Self landing bandit on linx bar

I think this is what I'm trying to do. I normally pull the release and then just walk up one line, but sometimes if its really windy this can be difficult. I've seen people self land their kits so that the kite lands LEI down and facing into the wind, which I think is what you've described below. I'...

Self landing bandit on linx bar

I should probably already know how to do this, but rarley kite alone luckily. What is the best way to self land a bandit flying off a linx bar? It appears that the single flag out line is attached to the left (as you look up at the kite from the ground) front line. Therefore should I: 1) Fly the kit...

Fone Bandit 2019 v 2020

Has anyone ridden both the 2019 and 2020 Bandit and able to compare the two? I’m 85kg, mainly a weekend rider, no unhooking and mainly riding a twin tip. I’m looking to replace an 11m Bandit 5 and am wondering if the 2020 bandit offers any significant benefit over the 2019? Either way I’d be using t...

Bandit 2018 advice

Will the newer Bandits still fly fine off the Monolith bar or do they require the Linx bar? Also, Can the reactor valve be inflated with a standard pump?

Portugal - Guincho or Viana

Hi, Will be travelling to Portugal in June or July. (We can be flexible on dates within those months). Am considering either Guincho or the beaches further north, Viana, Moledo etc. Does anyone have experience of these locations? Guincho seems to be potentially more windy? But possibly gusty?. Is Vi...

Portugal. Guincho or modelo

We are planning to travel to Portugal in June of July. Probably to guincho or modelo. We will probably only have a week so would like to maximise the chances of finding good wind! I assume July would be better than June if the wind is thermal? Guincho seems to be potentially windier than the spots f...

Cape town / Witsand - Kite sizes mid February

Will be in CT over the next three weeks. I am planning on travelling with a 6,8 and 11m Bandit. Plan is to start in CT and then maybe to travel South East towards Hermanus and Witsand. I'm 90kg and will be on a twin tip. I know the wind is plenty strong enough in along the Blouberg spots, but does t...

Re: South Africa February. Cape Town, Port Elizabeth or Durban

Garden route could be a plan. Has anyone been outside of Cape Town in mid feb? How is the wind. Guess if we start in CT we can check forecast before heading for port Elizabeth.

South Africa February. Cape Town, Port Elizabeth or Durban

HI I'm going to South Africa in February. I've been to Cape Town before but would consider going back. I'm an intermediate kiter and will be travelling with a non-kiting wife. Mainly interested in the wind conditions across those three locations. Is there good wind in PE and Durban in February and a...
