Re: What are Ya doing, to stay Sane through this ?

I am practicing the art of baking sourdough bread.
Kitesurfing during weekdays (less busy) on spots that are still open..

Wil have to revert to nighttime kitesurfing (for cover) as soon as everything is closed.... ;-)

Re: Duotone lines still poor quality?

Simple explanation is that they bought 500.000 kilometers of this cheap line in one go 12 years ago..
Currently they have so far used 450.000 km still 50.000 kilometers of painfully bad lines to go before they can switch...

Re: Reedin kite ads doubled lines

It looks like they did some focus stacking of images. Basically you take two or more pictures with the focus point on rider and further away (on kite). When there is plenty of light the shutter speed is high which makes two consequetive images similar but not exactly the same... if you realign the r...

Re: Single strut kite wind speed?

This time I disagree with Peter. I agree with Jumpthefish. Single strut above 10 knots still has considerable advantages. 1. The lighter the kite the quicker it turns. (inertia) 2. The drift when turning in the direction of the kite is just better. (inertia and balance of the kite. 3. It packs small...

Re: First impression of Gong M Pro

It seems like Gong have a good product & they have available a full product line with varied wings, mast lengths etc.. The major downside is weight because of the aluminum. On the other hand, a complete Gong foil with 3 different mast lengths costs less than a Moses carbon mast ... & the difference...

Re: Ozone Alpha V1 vs Naish Boxer 2020

My Boxer 10m 2019 - 2020 version weighs 2.65 Kg. Disclaimer.. no clue how accurate this cheap scale of mine for luggage avtually is... it says 40kg/10g.. I share Onda's enthusiasm for the boxer... I sold all of my wavekites (Ozone Reo and Best Cabo) and happily use the boxers... I expanded my quive...

Re: Ozone Alpha V1 vs Naish Boxer 2020

My Boxer 10m 2019 - 2020 version weighs 2.65 Kg. That's interesting. I'm surprised that the boxer is 20% heavier (450g) than the Ozone Alpha. I guess quadtex is heavier which makes a difference to weight. It might also be dacron quality, no of dacron reinforcements, bridles. Just different choices ...
