Re: 3.5m Wipika kite

A friend of mine is gathering early day kites for his kite museum. I am sure he would be interested to include this one in his collection. Should you consider tossing it away please let me know he (or I ) would be willing to pay shipping (to the Netherlands).

Re: DIY pigtails

How does your figure 8 slip - did you try adding simple or double overhand knots? That should stop slippage. E3CE15B9-6359-417D-99B4-41393801CB80.jpeg I wanna have multiple knot options so adding another one to hold it isn't an option. An alternative for multiple knot options is this: You can adjus...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Did someone ever try to put a couple of balloons in the LE as float.? I am convinced peak won't stop easily but if it does it would be nice if it stays afloat. Or even relaunch?

Re: Kiteboarding apps for Garmin watches

Hi Aleks, How nice you share the result of your efforts. I am considering to buy a Fenix for kitesurfing, running and cycling. A couple of questions: - Is it possible to plan a certain route (crossing to an island or so) and see on screen your sidetrack error (the distance left or right from your id...

Re: My custom travel bag for pocket foil boards.

this is great. I am thinking same. We desperately need travel bags 100cm / 120cm in length . But one thing I also want is wheels. Yours seem does not have them. Rolling it would be great.. And second option , I want it to be worn as "back pack" instead of over the shoulder strap. The nice thing abo...

Re: Kitesurfing vs Windsurfing Injuries

Windsurfing - slight concussion, cracked/bruised ribs, damaged rotator cuff, knuckle separation, twisted ankles, etc. Riding in extreme conditions, squalls, tropical storms/hurricanes. I was a lot younger and crazier then. Skateboarding - fractured elbow, numerous bruises, etc. Snowboarding - fract...

Re: Custom line winder for carbon bars

Those things are great for catching lines and causing death loops. I don’t think he meant to ride with them, Just for winding/unwinding lines on the beach? Then remove while on the water. Well he is writing he want to clip it to the harness or PFD....bad idea to store them in that way... That could...

Re: Saddest day in the history of the surf sport - Drama in the Netherlands

In my opinion (I kite locally) the foam has been by far the most important if not the single factor that caused their death. Other factors were very well known to the victims. Reportedly strong currents pushed them in the foam and a wind turning suddenly created a thicker layer than was there moment...
