Re: How about foot hooks for winging instead of straps?

Try some different foils also if you want better turning. Shorter fuselage and smaller rear wing will all increase turning speed and shorten turning radias. I ride my Axis stuff on the ultra short and crazy short fuselage with my biggest rear being a 370. Super loose.

Re: How about foot hooks for winging instead of straps?

Due to the size of the board and foil, I wouldn't go with hooks. I see hooks get ripped out all the time on kite surf and foil boards so with the bigger board, that would just happen quicker. You'll get better leverage for sure, I like straps for that reason but foot hooks are like can openers for t...

Re: Balanced wings

Un balanced wings usually have a more V shape like first generation duotone. They flop all over the place when on the water or being held by the handle on the leading edge. Most wings today that are flatter like ensis, F1, slingshot ect will sit easily on the water or when wave riding, they'll follo...

Re: Kiting in Florida

This week will be 30 knots so please don't go out unless you have the right gear and can stay up wind in the conditions that are coming. Flat, easy conditions can be found at Crandon, Matheson or a boat charter to the flats.

Re: Question for Axis Tray board owner

Yes, the boards have a white pad on them. I have it on my prone boards from them and it has great grip.

Re: Wings in the surf

Attach leashes to the leading edge handle and the wings will survive the waves.

Re: Very Strong Winds

In those winds, I go with a 2.8 and still have tons of power. Up wind speed will increase with a smaller wing. I hope to get something closer to 2 meter for the 2021 season. Once you're on foil, less wing the better.

Re: Winging with knee replacements

Just work on your balance. Then holding the wing close get on the board, stand up, get two hands on the wing and go. I have students in the same situation as you where kneeling is out of the question so they just stand up and go skipping the kneeling part. After a few days of heavy riding on my smal...
