Re: getting up on foil wing foiling

Like slowboat said, 110 liters is all you need. I like that 5'4" fanatic is going to put out. It's close to what I'm riding. The extra liters under you will not make much differencein the long run. you'll be happy to have it when the wind dies off so you can still get in and not be swimming with a w...

Re: Possible to learn wingfoiling with pocket board or 60 litres board for 80kg person?

It's doable on the bigger prone you have for sure, a strap will help also to stabilize the board under you. You'll just need a lot of wind to get it going. Here's the down side to learning on a small board like that, it'll flip over easily and the foil can pop or tear your wing. I've seen it happen ...

Re: getting up on foil wing foiling

I'm 160 lbs. this is my wing specific board so it's only able to do knee starts unless you're in really flat conditions or weigh under 140 lbs. I highly recommend a board not over 6'6", the longer the board, the more counter weight of the nose will affect the foil, plus you'll need a longer mast to ...

getting up on foil wing foiling

https://youtu.be/xIspFfN3vfs I did this video to help with getting up on foil with the wing. I find it to be the only hard part of wing foiling till you learn the technique. I was in about 10-12 knots of wind that day 90 liter board @5'1", Axis 1020 foil on standard fuselage, 400 rear and 6 meter F1...

Re: Toby, no wingfoil forum?

Since I've started to wingsurf, I haven't been on a kite in months. If it's light winds with some wind swell then I'm sup foiling and as soon as it's too strong to paddle against then I'm wing'ing it in the waves. If I was in a place of just flat water then I'd probably be kiting still. It's just so...

Re: Whats happening with Cabrinha distribution?

Anyone know what's up with Neil Pryde distribution? I've been trying to get an XL wing for months and last word was release will be in Spring but, now I'm not sure if that's going to happen. It'll really suck to not be able to up grade my foil especially after waiting so long for this wing.

Re: Wing surf in waves, onshore?

I just hold the wing by the front handle on the strut so I can keep it up high above me and then it's out of the way to ride the waves. Not as much fun as side to side on winds but still more efficient than a kite in those conditions.

Re: Market for Hydrofoil Wave Foil kites < 4 m²

go shorter lines, it'll be faster but it will knock some power off. You might even find you can go bigger with the shorter lines.

Re: Advice for a jedi apprentice

A used surf foil would probably be cheaper than a used foil kite. Plus you should't need a bigger kite than a 12 if you have a surf foil.

Re: Best foils for SUP "wing foiling"

My go to set up is the Axis 100 front wing and short fuselage with 440 rear on a 68-75 centimeter mast.
