Re: Why am I breaching so much on my new foil?

Try the short fuselage for kiting. I sup, prone, wing, down wind, tow in and dock start with the crazy short but kite with a short fuselage.

Re: Warmish spring spot for lessons

Miami Florida is warm and has lessons along with a big winging community.

Re: Winging in Miami - Any restrictions?

Stay out of swim zones. Wear a leash to the board. 26th St and 76th St are the main launches. Most guards are cool with the wings but just ask the local guard before going out. Stay on the outside of the vessel markers unless you're in one of the designated zones. Hobie beach is great on an off shor...

A lot of talk on standupzone about that. Also some talk about losing access.

Re: Anyone using the new Axis black series wings?

I use the 700 in light winds on a ultra short fuselage for kite. For winging and sup foil, I use the crazy short fuselage in high winds. Amazing foils, lets you ride both feet in front of the mast so you can go fast and have really good leverage affair l against the kite.

Re: Cabrinha Mantis Wing 2021

I feel the X2 sits really far back in the wind window. It's harder to go up wind than most wings I've ridden. I feel like the wing requires the rider to move hands too much between starting, riding, up wind, ECT... The handles also feel too far apart for me and with the micro struts,I feel a lot of ...

Re: gear buying advice

Go with the 95 liter board or bigger and the 6.2 mantis when it comes out. You might want to look into a bigger board that you can sup foil as well because it's a blast to sup waves when the wind dies. For a board, just don't go over 6'6 or you'll start to get a lot of negative feedback against the ...

Re: Cabrinha Mantis Wing 2021

I've been in the mantis 4&5 for the past month and I have to say cabrinha did a 180 in wing design. I have not a single good thing to say about the X2 so I'll skip to the mantis good stuff. Handles are placed properly and allow for all day riding with no stress in the joints. Great for one handed wa...

Neil pryde used to make a long jacket. Came with a face cover also. Trench coat style, no liner to get wet and heavy.

Re: advise on new setup - Armstrong vs Axis

Hey Chiro,
The HPS 930 is great on a kite. I've used the 700 all the way up to the 980 on the kite and they all worked great. Really good low end. You'll be fine on the 930 for light wind foiling.
