When it's a light wind day (less than 12 knots), I'll choose a foil board.

I'm not surprised that lighter material is less durable. Or generally when kite is built light, there are thinner materials and less protective patches. Is this a bug that threads disappear by themselves or did you remove it Toby - if you did, why? It would be good kite for foiling and for those who loop. Ozone + aluula = must be crazy expensive
I have been to Dakhla once and I thought it would be the last time I go there because of the Royal Air Maroc and pain to get there overall (from here, you have to buy two different tickets). Good if the flights are better now
