Re: Kite Board Hydro Foils available March 2019

Onofoil seem to be a new small brand out of Maui. No experience of them myself but they are posting lots of great foil porn on Instagram of foil ideas they are testing. All looks cool, interested to know if anyone has tried them?

Re: Best hydrofoil board for beginner Volume or thinner?

As I think you can see if you ask any variation on the question "What is the best foil/board/kite for a beginner/intermediate/advanced/racer" you will get positive and negatives for every possible option! Hydrofoiling is very personal discipline mainly because we all have very different backgrounds ...

Kitefoiling Gybes - Preview for the Upcoming How-to videos

I'm working on a new series of videos for teaching the full kitefoiling gybe - carving turns, riding toeside and the foot change. Lots of people have been asking when they'll be available so I made this preview video to explain how production is coming along, some of the complexities of trying to te...

Re: Cape Town in november

I think November and early December are some of the best times to come to Cape Town - it's quieter on the water, a little cooler and the wind can be great. This November was probably some of the best conditions we've seen all season for both twintips, surfboards and foiling both in Blouberg and Lang...

Re: F-one Breeze v1 vs v2 for beginner

^ Yeah that wind range isn't for foiling. 13m in 20 knots on a twintip is doable but not on a foil - you'll be good up to about 15 knots on a foil but probably pretty powered up and will have more fun on a smaller kite. But that also depends on your foil - smaller front wing and you'll be able to ha...

Re: Cape Town safety and riding convention basics

Definitely bring your foil if you want to maximise your time on the water. I've had my foil here the last 3 years and though Blouberg can be a little challenging at time, its a fun spot to foil (the last couple of days have been relatively flat so perfect for foiling). I've been here for 2.5 months ...

Re: F-one Breeze v1 vs v2 for beginner

I've just started riding F-one and ride the Mirage 800 (similar to the 850) and pocket 130. I have a 15m Breeze v2 and love it! I'm 105kg so take that in to account (for 80kg, I think the 13m would probably be perfect). It amazing the number of times that kite has saved me from sitting on the beach ...

Re: Making the home text visual nice - your help and opinion needed

I agree with Toby, yes Kitesurfing is the most popular, particularly today but some days it's more balanced with other categories. I also think that without this kind of homepage most people will probably end up just posting everything kitesurfing so atleast it highlights there are sub-forums for di...

And can you do the last one, with the forum names on the left BUT right aligned in that column? Small change but I think its easier to scan through.

Re: Making the home text visual nice - your help and opinion needed

Look at both next to each other I think your version with the forum names over on the right is better. It makes the post subjects the main priority, whatever sub-category they are in, but you can visually look for specific types of post if you want. I also prefer the colour differences too - keep th...
