Re: Pocketboard question

I'm a bit heavier than you at 100kg and I generally ride a 130 but I did have a 96cm board for a month which was a lot of fun. The thing was I ended up back on the 130 and found that it was far easier to keep progressing and learning new tricks because you can make a mistake and keep riding. On a sm...

Re: position strapless board with just legs - no hands.

I never muscle the board onto its side like I did at the beginning. No, I swim it into shape, usually with pressure on the rail near the tail as the driving spot. With almost any foot placement behind the mast, you can steer it around nicely as foil are very directional. I use a technique that is s...

Video: 3 Key Wingfoiling Tips - Stance, Carving Gybes and the Foot Change

I'm relatively new to Wingfoiling but the cross over with Kitefoiling gave me a leg up and I can't help but start thinking about ways to teach and coach the various techniques! It's been interesting trying to understand how the foil and wing work together and after a few sessions, I had some lightbu...

Re: Wing Boards: Fanatic VS Fone VS Naish VS Custom Carbon

Just a clarifications on the F-ONE boards - are the ones you used v1 or v2 Rocket Wings? I suspect v1 as the sizes of the 5'4" and 6'0" don't match the v2 size/volumes. Only ask because I have a v2 6'0" and its been pretty resilient to knocks so far but time will tell!

Re: F-one Mirage 800 and 1000 Carbon 2020/2021 (V3)

So I have the Mirage Carbon 1000 and ridden 20+ times in the last 2 months. Before that I had the v2 Mirage 1000 and 800. Unfortunately, I haven't ridden the new Mirage Carbon 800. I also have the new Gravity carbon 1200. The new MC1000 is a great wing, design-wise it is quite different from the v2 ...

Re: Foiling 360 - Kite and Bar Position Tips (with video)

Just a quick update on the 360 videos: Some people asked if they can watch it on YT - so I've finally pulled the two IG/FB videos together into a single video and added a few extra bits of advise. Hopefully easier for people to bookmark and come back too rather than being hidden away in FB! https://...

Re: how do you retrieve someone elses foil board?

There is the option to pick up the other foil board, under your arm and then ride in or over to the other person and drop it off to them. It's definitely an advanced technique and for foilers who are super confident with their foil control and also water starting and riding with only one arm continu...

Re: Inflatable wing boards.

F-One have the Rocket Air too which has a Tuttle box too. All foldable with not stringers etc.

We are thinking of getting one to teach wingfoiling - light and strong!

Re: Best hydrofoil board for beginner Volume or thinner?

1) Gong seem be well liked (I've ride a couple for short periods and hey not bad for the price) main downside is the weight, so depends if you are bothered about that - won't effect performance whilst you are learning just a little more effort to move around. 2) Is it the new yellow/grey Duotone pac...

Re: What are your thoughts on this Vantage Kites kite/wing?

I'd agree with @Horst Sergio, interesting but probably just a marketing stunt for now. The key for me is that they never show it actually turning in the sky, maybe it turns just fine but my guess is its dog slow and awkward. I want to see the guy waterstart and the do a gybe, then we'll know if it's...
