Re: Duotone 2020

Looks like they added a batten and reduced the size of the wavy dacron patches on the trailing edge (maybe to reduce weight).

Profile looks very similar to current gen.

Re: Big air and waving quiver advice

I dont think your issue is the kite type. EVOs are pretty good at everything (including drift). On days you want to ride waves just pick one size smaller kite, so that you are slightly underpowered on TT, but comfortable on a surfboard. If your 7 is still to powerful on days you want to surf just ge...

Re: Unintended suicide mode on Core sensor 2+ bars

Dennis,

Maybe it’s time to move on from these bars, not sure how many more of these dangerous situations it’s going to take.

Kitetic (kinesio) tape is the thing you are after. Stays on very well.
KT tape works perfectly for this. I use it on my waist and sometimes even on my feet if I’m riding in hot choppy conditions for more than a week straight.

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

Sure maybe the next few iterations of the EVO\Rebel might refine things further, no doubt. And if you feel like the kite doesn’t work for you, switch to something else, plenty of options. I’m not a team rider, so couldn’t care less. Still love to hear opinions on gear though as kiting is my passion....

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

Eppo, boy do you seem to hate the 2018 gen. I ve been riding EVOs for years and yes the 2018s are different, but not dramatically IMHO. I have only flown the 12 so far and for me it’s definitely an improvement. Lighter on the bar but still enough feedback to tell exactly where the kite is. Better dr...

Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

Evo all the way. The 2018 are super easy to use, boost great and on the lighter 3 strut platform are decent in waves and lighter wind.

Been riding the 2018 12M for a month and love it.

Re: Kevin Langeree Claims Red Bull King Of The Air Title For Second Time

4 people rode on Delta Hybrids in the final...interesting development for this year (didnt Nick J win on a switchblade last year) With Height being 70% of the judging I wonder if this is a new trend for this competition, as Kevin and Antonin were going considerably higher then the rest of the C-kite...

Re: Hand drags getting yanked

2 things that have helped me in powered conditions with this trick. 1. I slightly depower my kite. Usually I ride fully powered, but having it slightly depowered for this trick made it loop faster and with a bit less pull. 2. I steer the kite further behind me before popping for the rotation and slo...
