Re: Duotone rebel sls 2022 launch

For some reason the Rebel SLS only lost ~100g per size (~3.5%), while all other SLS kites lost ~300g (~10%) per size. Wonder why?

Every year or every other year. Nothing like crispy new kites :)

Re: Duotone 2021

See Dan (at DT)'s post. Interestingly Ken Winner (Rebel designer) considers the Rebels pulleys already fixed (says they only move when you eject the kite). Apparently the 2021 has the same bridle/pulley as 2020. I used to fly EVOs for many years before switching to Rebels in 2019 (on 2020 now). The ...

Re: Duotone 2021

I ride 2020 rebels and to be honest they are fast enough. For me it’s an old school boosting kite. Any faster and it will be too twitchy for me. Not sure what this constant obsession is to make every kite faster every year. I just tried the pullyless 2020 EVOs and they were way too fast to be honest...

Re: Duotone 2021

Wow looks like the removed the pulleys. It’s barely mentioned in the video, I wonder how that changes the feel and handling of the 2021 version.

Seems like DT in general is going away from pulleys (Dice, Evo, and now Rebel)

Re: Duotone 2021

ALULA is in extremely short supply (OR can barely get their demos/orders out), so extremely unlikely it's using that new fabric. Also Duotone sells much more kites than OR, so low chance they would use a fabric that has such limited availability I would assume ALULA is a brand name and anyone that u...

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Hey Aleks, love the app on my fossil watch!

One thing I noticed is that your app loses history if the Woo disconnects mid session. So even though my Woo is on and my highest jump was let's say 10M, on re-connecting after a crash the watch starts from scratch and loses that history.

thanks!

Re: Tip for keeping kite at 12 during boosted front-rolls

So, on a 12m in moderate winds I enjoy a good front roll Board off. I always know where the kite is and because it’s bigger and slower can control it quite well. But now I’m gettin in to the 10m 22-30 knot range where i want to throw some big front rolls and I’m killing myself because I tend to los...

Re: Duotone 2020

Haha, you're right Exal... Probably would've been better to have the guys who are trained in the tech changes handle the interviews. Several magazines were trying to schedule interviews but with a lineup like ours it would be most of a day to run over everything and the sales team was in meetings w...
