Re: Chubanga v2 2019

Still you can get pretty decent finishings on TFB, Hidro, Temavento, pretty decent considering what Peter said above.

Re: Roll tack underpowered small kites?

With smaller kites you need to generate enough pull after the tack, and that normally is only possible with a downloop. Thats said, its much easier to learn them well powered and with a "freeride" foil.

Re: Anyone tried foiling with a wing?

I ordered a Gong 7m, i think the biggest wing atm in the market, not sure when it will arrive but im curious to try it. Launching from the concrete ramp in my local marina will be fun enough :)

Re: Line length poll

I went myself thru all the possible combinations. I started with a 17m v2 with 17m lines , then switched for a 19m v2 on 17m lines and after it 15m lines, then to 21m v2 with 15m lines and switched later to 13m lines. So basically if you need to water start often, meaning you fail your manouvers, lo...

Re: Line length poll

I actually dont use anything longer than 13m lines and thats only on my 21m. I honestly dont think i will get better low end with longer than 13m lines on my 21m, it will only help me at waterstart a little, and thats all, under 4-5 knots it doesnt really matter if you have 13 or 20, you mess up, yo...

Re: 100 tacks asap - challenge

Hum not much fun i think, because the easiest way to win that would be on a big foil with a small kite, making the tacks at very low speeds with almost no effort. I nicer challenge would be "who can make a tack at the highest speed possible? and a jibe? :) im sure the pros have crazy numbers on this.

Re: Very high aspect kite..

I wonder if its actually faster upwind despite of being so unstable and user UNfriendly.

Re: Chubanga v2 2019

Its a great improvement over my moses comet, no ventilation at all at any speeds upwinds or reaching. The glide during maneuvers its longer, which is a great improvement on my tacks in 5-6 knots, i can do all maneuvers 10/10 in more than 8 knots , but under that it was quite hard to be consistent o...

Re: Chubanga v2 2019

I compare with the 645 with the 2018 111 mast, and btw the 645 is very similar to the 637, its abit "easier" but also slightly "slower".
