Re: Chubanga v2 2019

Its a great improvement over my moses comet, no ventilation at all at any speeds upwinds or reaching. The glide during maneuvers its longer, which is a great improvement on my tacks in 5-6 knots, i can do all maneuvers 10/10 in more than 8 knots , but under that it was quite hard to be consistent o...

Re: Chubanga v2 2019

I compare with the 645 with the 2018 111 mast, and btw the 645 is very similar to the 637, its abit "easier" but also slightly "slower".

Re: looking for a new Lightwind tubekite Help!

I'm looking for a new tube kite for hydrofoiling in marginal wind. I've been looking at Naish Boxer because I'm using Naish for twintip. But since this kite is not sold in my home country, I can't try it before buying. I am looking for experiences with the boxer, I'm not sure if I should choose the...

Re: Line length, gybing and down-looping

Humm, maybe with a big board that is possible but with the race Board if I touch the water in marginal wind there is a big chance I'm swimming. Without having your feet on the ground it's very hard to fly a 21m kite in anything lower than 5-6 knots, and my r1v2 21m it's the most stable kite I have. ...

Re: Line length, gybing and down-looping

"Many racers only do tacks in this wind, for the same reason." -> I feel exactly the opposite, the wind will become so low that im not able to tack anymore (if i do i wont have enough exit speed, ill touch down, sink and drop my kite), but i still can jibe (barely, but not touching down). Ive heard ...

Re: Line length, gybing and down-looping

Racers dont point upwind in marginal winds to jibe, they point abit less downwind, maybe to a reach angle if really low. Problem with longer lines and passing the kite overhead are the angles, you often need to point alot higher upwind to do this, and also on the exit you need to point more upwind a...
