Re: Duotone Juice 13m - how's the real low end compared to 12m Rebel or XR6?

I am similar the Baxter , I have the 15m Juice , 12 Neo , 9 Neo , 7 Neo for surfboard and foil You are asking about bottom end ... I dont have any experience with the XR6. The rebel would more likely have a better bottom end than the Juice design as its made for boosting and freeride , the Juice is ...

Re: Duotone freefoil 2018 vs Duotone spirit carve 2019

My 2 bobs worth , and I agree with my learned friend Puetz kindly gave me a good go on the new carve 950 . :-) . I had really good fun on it , much moreso than if it was the speedster . I have ridden both the North Speedster and I currently ride the Jshapes cruzer and freestyle foils with 120 board ...

Re: Flying footswitch learning time

I can now change feet on both sides without any problem . On jshapes foils around 800 to 950cm2 For me , the keys things are ; Kite fairly neutral feet and hips pointing forward to take out extra movements. Start with more weight on the back foot so the front foot is unweighted. This makes it easier...

Re: Gath Helmets with Visor

I have worn gath helmets since they came out . Is it 30 years ? :o Windsurfing and kiting. So far 4. The first one had an adjustable visor and the others with a partial one. The adjustable visor was a bit restrictive when down , you can’t see through it that well as it gets covered in spray. But you...

Re: WtF man. Will I ever learn transitions...?

Bigger foil will certainly help. For me ... I gybe first and go toeside My focus is then on getting comfortable , level out the board , kite high but not much line tension , fairly upright body, feet pointing in same direction as the board ... and step off the BACK foot to the front from above the m...

Re: Changing the way you jibe?

If you want to change , you need to figure out what you do on your strong transition side against your weak transition side. I had a big difference on either side. And I come from windsurfing , which requires a more balanced transition of both sides. But i think it’s really important to be able to d...

Re: Nigel no mates

After reading all this ... its pretty obvious its what floats your boat will make you choose whichever discipline . Some want to do tricks on tt , ride sbs , tricks on sbs , etc , etc , etc Me , when I was windsurfing 25 years and then into kiting 9 years it has never been about doing tricks . I jus...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

Thank you Eddie. That is exactly what I’m feeling with the Long mast vs the short one is the weight difference. So I guess just slow things down including kite dive to give the longer/heavier mast a chance to catch up? Thanks in advance. BW No worries Big Wally . It’s not so much that you wait for ...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

[quote=Peter_Frank post But as said before, pretty sure now, the misconceptions to one or the other side comes between those who can accept a slight touch(down), and those who can not, thus VERY different likings appear :naughty: [/i] I wonder how long will it take me to get good enough to hardly n...
