Re: Do you step off gracefully?

PS: There are no safety speeches here... Those who had foot injuries this way, could not surf for weeks !!! And Dave have had issues for half a year now, because of a broken foot :( So it is all about more time on the water, and got nothing to do with safety :thumb: Ok Karen   Do ...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I would see a gain in getting 9m soul in wider wind range that I can get from LEI kite. I'm guessing that 9m Soul would have range on TT like 8-11m LEI kite. My local spots have narrow or almost no beach at all adding another level on complexity in starting kite but as you mention my 9m would be fo...

Re: New Pansh vs used Ozone / Flysurfer

FLandOBX, sounds like you're a flysurfer guy, which I can respect. I'd love to own one someday, whether its a peak4 or a sonic. However, I'm looking at a deal on a chrono v1 at the moment. Is this design still relevant or should I steer clear? I don't know as much about the progression on foil kite...

Re: Do you step off gracefully?

Booties or not, always a risk you get injured when you hop off in low water not knowing how deep it is exactly, or if flat or not on the bottom :( Some has had injuries this way... Almost like walking fast down a stair blindfolded or not looking down, and then there are suddenly no more steps :evil...

Re: Do you step off gracefully?

I'll usually take it pretty shallow and I'm pretty good at just hopping off and catching the board as it does its little pop up. Gotta be riding pretty slow though and know how your board reacts without a rider(I guess I've fallen off enough that I usually know where the board is going to go). I usu...

Re: Best pocketboard for hydrofoil?

I also like the concave deck . It's hard to get used to a flat deck after riding a slingy board . I bought a groove skate with a flat deck but I would get it made with a concave deck next . I did the same, really missed the concave deck so this time around I ordered one with it, should be coming in...

Re: Pansh Aeolus V2

Bridles are significantly lighter weight than straps. You can also use even thinner bridles when you divide them more, so not as much drag as the extra 25m implies. Foilholio, It doesn’t matter how much thinner the bridles are, more will always create more drag. I agree that there is current debate...

Re: Best pocketboard for hydrofoil?

Groove make some really good boards. I’m having them build me a custom Wave, 100x45cm, concave deck, and full carbon composite. Can’t wait till it gets here.

Re: Flysurfer Race vs VMG

Look at you wet turds in the rain. If flysurfer's line plans are to be believed, then the VMG and race are basically the same kite. Which I have read flysurfer state before as correct. With the reasoning for the 2 models being the lovely IKA IKA idiot collective. You can see on the line plan everyt...
