Re: Self launch and self land option

I had to pull the QR even though I was in 4 line mode. Instant spaghetti, took me a while to untangle. Thank You, I would not mind a few hours of spaghetti... it's the hours of spaghetti from a hospital bed that has me concerned. Good information. By keeping the bar/line on the ground after you pul...

Re: Inflation funnel

Completely unnecessary. I never preinflate my foils including the Speed 3s (what was in the film). The trick is launching with trimmed to full power and keeping the bar in/kite slightly backstalled to fill quickly.

Re: Self launch and self land option

You can use a teathered bar /or bag of sand with a climbing quick draw- its a little more fiddly but you essentially back stall the kite to the ground and hook the chicken loop and the steering line s into your quick draw - this keeps the kite in stalled state - sitting on its trailing edge. I am e...

Re: Moses 2019

I can get a 743 fuselage to anyone interested. It features mast positioned 40mm forward compared to 749 which allows: - using existing fixed holes on a board to be able to ride 633/790/873 and not having to drill new ones further to the back of the board - not moving mast when switching between 590...

Re: 6m Soul as step down from 10m?

I do think the Soul is a great kite but at higher winds the power, especially in the loop, I found difficult to deal with and it’s the reason I went back to LEIs. This is probably more easy to deal with hydrofoiling, where you’re using a smaller kite for the wind, but on a TT in gusty 25 knots I fo...

Re: New to Soul, Which Bar?

Yeah my dealer confirmed end of May as well. I hope they got everything right as I don't like to be guinea pig This bar looks to be built by a different company, not home Flysurfer grown, so I expect it to be pretty good. My problem will be that I’ve heard the ironheart qr is very heavy which means...

Re: 6m Soul as step down from 10m?

i agree with above. i have a 6m, 8, and 12m soul.. i'm starting to love the 6m(and use it almost exclusively) for foiling....and 12m is the most used kite i own (and i use it primarily with TT...but i'm learning to appreciate that grunt on a foil too) (the 8m has also been used as a TT kite) a 6m a...
