I have a 10m soul, want to get a 15m or 18m soul as a compliment. Ive been kitesurfing for 8 years I ride TT, Hydrofoil, snowkite on skis and skates. Ride mostly on gusty lakes. My weight is 80 kg. What do you guds recommend 15m or 18m? Looki g for new input to my analysis 🙂 What wines do you want ...
Yeah. I would have thought Aluula would be perfect for the high aspect kites in bigger sizes - who would benefit greatly from being faster and lighter. In the Oslo-area 15 knots is quite common. To have a kite you could actually jump properly with at 15 knots would be amazing. There are kites for t...
"But the Soul does currently have the best relaunch and takes on the least amount of water compared to all the other models/brands." Adventure Logs what tests are you basing this statment on? I fly Concept Air Pulsion LW, Wave and FireFly and have no issues with water relaunching. Horst has stated ...
Have a Soul 6m that I absolutely love on my hydrofoil. The advantages of the small foils is the same as larger ones, just scaled down. Why I prefer a small foil. No pumping and super fast setup/break down Huge range(I can ride TT and HF on the same winds with this kite) Drift/backstall ability/overa...
of course it's not specific to Soul however, some people try to sell here some BS for example that this kite doesn't take water or if does always drain it, another one is that it always relaunches which isn't true either. It was windy day and I was on TT however, after jump I think kite overflown m...
I think what happened, is the guy who caught the kite put it down with a couple of the bridle lines wrapped around the canopy in some way. When I went to relaunch the lines did not get put back in the right way. Sorting it out on the beach was tricky because it was blowing 17 - 18 knots & for an ad...
Sounds like Z line has shrunk. As stated before, add a couple CM pigtails to the Z lines. IF you really want to be precise, measure out the entire bridle for shrinkage. That kite is a power beast but was very finicky about its bridles and after this much time, I’m sure it’s out of tune.
Yea in the rain my foils end up being sluggish that’s for sure. Not so much now with the newer fabric but it’s still noticeable. Mostly it just doesn’t climb as well.
It’s an advantage because the “trapped” air gives the foil its shape which is more efficient. Why racers don’t use single skins. The airfoil produces lift which is why you can “spin up” the kite and build more power with more apparent wind. Also why you get a good power stroke when the kite travels ...
