Re: Ride engine harness fit, rides up

Make sure your straps feed back through the buckles to lock them. I swapped my RE hook for the Majestic Stealth bar. Once it's set up properly it totally takes care of the loosening straps, and is much more compfortable. Megabear... have you tried a seat harness? A seat harness will fix the problem...

Re: Ride engine harness fit, rides up

Hi there,

I have kind of the same problem. Basicly if your are pear shaped dad-bod it will right up. Haven´t found a harness yet for this problem. (Been riding for +15 years)

I have seen a few posts and articles like this ( referring to the original post) where it seems like the author is a little butt hurt because they feel like they are ripping but because they ride strapped they don't get the recognition they feel they deserve.
The essence of this whole thread.

Re: Is strapless overrated?

it is a simple fact, that the most high performance surfing is done strapless by pro riders. As some one else mentioned, amundson & reo, etc were all outsurfed in 2010 by Ian Alldredge - and other pro´s followed this trend. The pro riders are leading the way for rest of us. It may be that the some ...

Re: Firewire EVo versus Vader

I disagree with some points on the above statement. As I wrote, my current board is 14 liters! And I would not want a bigger board. It's more about the outline than thickness. Transitions and low end is really not a problem at all with the board I have. And I ride in low winds too, a lot. I do 360 ...

Re: Firewire Vader, Fins recommendations

So I finally gave those v2 foils a go on a small Beach Beach break with my vader 5.3. (running it in quad setup) https://futuresfins.com/surfboard-fins/f4-5-fin.html I have to say I really did not like it, my usual setup is way more fluid and faster: (Creatures ARC, and QD2 rear fins) Creatures Medi...

Re: What was your Game Changer?

1. Sliding hook (much greater freedom of movement, especially in high winds, essentially a replacement for unhooked kiting, which is a lot harder in shitty conditions.) 2. Squared surfboard (Thomo Vader) much easier to go upwind while in general being less powered, and still easy to turn the damn th...

Re: Firewire Vader, Fins recommendations

Every damn fin thread needs this link posted because 1/2 the people here who comment on fins don't know what they're talking about. https://futuresfins.com/en-us/fin-school/foil +1 NCM is correct. I've now counted several posts indicating this fact. Why can't anyone here understand this? So far the...

Re: Firewire Vader, Fins recommendations

So whats better a stiffer flat foiled fin, or the softer inside foil (V2)?
