Re: Introducing the new Naish Boxer

on https://www.gleiten.tv they tested the current Boxer and the 2019/2020 model as well. Comment from Uwe is that the current model is identical to the previous model except for the valve, the 1-pump system and the graphics. Kite shape remained unchanged. I´m super happy with my 8 & 10 m² Boxers (20...

Re: Saddest day in the history of the surf sport - Drama in the Netherlands

Scheveningen has really heavy conditions when wind / swell is strong. I was on my way to Scheveningen Monday, but returned home midway after re-checking conditions (wind forecast, measured wind, wave forecast at surfline, livecams). It was very obvious that the conditions were really really demandin...

Re: What your most used kite size for foiling?

So many true things have been said here already! Foil is good for me in the wind range from 10 to 15 kts with 10/8 m² single strut kites. Beyond 15 kts I much more enjoy straples wave fun, with wave kites. Below 10 kts foil riding is more an art than anything else and this will take you years of tra...

"Really cold over there"?
It is really warm here, unbelievably warm for this time of the year. Feels like summer already.
But actually much less beach activities due to corona bans. However, the Dutch guys are allowed to kite at most of the common spots.

Re: How many kites...

Depends on how many kite categories you want to cover, and where you live / kite most. For me, for wave and foil on North Sea: 10 m² single-strut (foil & light wind wave) 8 m² single-strut (foil & less-than-optimal wave) 6 m² wave kite for wave only 4.5 m² wave kite for wave only So four kites. An a...

Re: Naish Boxer 10m 19/20

I have the 2019/2020 Boxer in 10 m² and it is the best kite for foiling I´ve ever had. Super easy handling, almost impossible to drop it even if you do the most stupid mistakes. And it has a super-smooth power delivery which makes foiling (particularly as a beginner) very relaxed. It has excellent d...

Re: Corona Virus - Has your country banned kitesurfing?

In Germany, beaches are open in principle. But you aren´t allowed to gather in groups of more than two individuals in general. Hence, you´d have to go to a "lonely" beach alone, or with maximum one kite buddy. And traveling activities are prohibited now, with the exception of commuting to work or to...

Re: What does apparent wind really bring ?

Its simple not true about more and more downwind - you very quickly loose pressure this way as soon as your direct downwind VMG start approach real wind speed - which ALWAYS is your only source of energy. As soon as you loose this power gradient between your kite and wind you are done. No ammount o...
