Re: Depower rope WTF

Gator, how can you actually separate the depower line / PU tubing from the cleat? I tried it but it seems to be glued together? I want to get rid of the PU tube and use the Cabrinha bar with a bare depower rope. Don´t use a chicken loop anyway, so no worries at the lower end of the tube :D BTW, I n...

Re: Moses Bolt Torque?

I posted an official table in another post some months ago, see link below. The maximum torque is a function of the type of thread, the diameter of the thread and the material the screw is made of (tensile strength). For stainless steel screws in M6 / tensile class 6.8 the maximum torque is 7.7 Nm ...

Re: Depower rope WTF

[/quote] Biggest pain is when you buy a new Cab Mainline replacement, you have to unthread the old mainline from the old cleat, carefully unthread the new mainline from the new cleat without wrecking it, then re-thread the new one. They even sell you a cleat with the new one making it three times th...

Re: lighter harness for foiling?

About the Ether harness: The size chart looks strange to me. According to it, I´d need an XL (while I use a size M from Rideengine).
Any experiences on the "real" sizing of the Ether harness?

Re: AK Ether Harness - Anyone tried it?

I´ll definitely get one! The size chart looks strange, however. I´d need XL according to it (and I´m a very "normal" guy, 75 kg / 180 cm). I´m wearing a Rideengine in size M comfortably. XL sounds weird to me. A very large group of potential buyers would be excluded from this offer, as XL is their b...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Like jumptheshark stated, the most important feature of the Peaks is not so much about low end, but more about more fun while riding. It took me 3 or 4 sessions with the 5 m Peak to realize that fun potential. From then on, I got more and more reluctant to use any of my LEI kites for foiling any mor...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

drsurf expressed exactly what my expectation is of the Peak4 in 8 m²! However, I´m hoping that selling my loved 10 m² Naish Boxer was not a mistake ;-) The Peak shall replace it, with 1-2 kts better low end, hopefully. One main consideration in terms of getting the 8 m² Peak was: When you´re out in ...

Re: You love it - SUP and kite shop in Dusseldorf - Do not buy!

They are very unreliable, unfortunately. Wanted to buy a 2020 surfboard model which was in their online shop (very good price!). Went there (I live in that area) and asked for that board. After about 10 minutes of "research" the guy came back to me and said: "Ehhh sorry, this product is actually not...
