Re: Duotone Project TETA

This is really great :thumb: Eventually, a first manufacturer starts to collect tangible, meaningful operational data to actively steer development based on facts and not on feelings! Congrats! Hopefully, other brands will copy this. However... they might lack the critical German Dr.-Ing. guys :bye:...

Wind & waves Brittany (France) in early Sept?

Hi all, I´ll spend two weeks in Brittany beginning of September. I´ve been there couple of times already in June / Oct, rather unlucky in terms of wind. I´d like to get your recommendations for locations with consistent wind (thermal?) and waves. My guess is that Brittany´s south coast is generally ...

Re: kiting Portugal / Spain in July

Guincho is very different every day. In high summer the wind is VERY strong (30+ kts) almost every afternoon, plus ultra gusty, particularly at the northern end of the beach. It is really dangerous there: Max. 400 m of beach stretch, with large rocks in the middle of the beach in the water. Extreme ...

Re: Ozone Reo V4 5m anybody compare with V5 5m?

I had the same experience with the V4 in 5 m². Very unpleasant kite, zero grunt / sheet&go, had to be flown very fast always to generate some power. And very unforgiving in gusty winds (which is always the case in the 5m² windrange). All other Reo sizes V3/V4 are really perfect. I exchanged it with ...

Re: 2 Fatalities in Tarifa

When you´re out at sea and anything goes wrong, you typically have some time to think about the best action. And there are several options you should consider thoroughly because the wrong one can be your last one. But you have to be aware of all options "by heart" without recaping them first in your...

Re: Cape Town safety and riding convention basics

A so-called "common sense" is mentioned here repeatedly. There is nothing like common sense as soon as male hotshots with kites touch a beach (not to mention the water). When waves come into play, it gets instant mayhem. Hence my first rule is: Strictly avoid any crowded kitesurf spot . There´s alwa...

Re: Fuerteventura in March

In El Medano you can contact the surf center playa sur, directly on the beach. Very friendly guys there, comfortable storage and reasonable pricing.

Re: Fuerteventura in March

Tenerife (El Medano) might be another option for you. You can stay in apartments / hotels virtually on the kite beach (max 2 minutes walk). There is no ground swell at Medano (like at Flag Beach), only smaller wind swell. I´ve been in both places and I´d say: Flag Beach has higher quality waves and ...

Will probably run on Diesel fuel  The Audi cheaters can only think in Diesel terms. Everything else is evil / bad / impossible. I´m German and I feel deeply ashamed and angry for / about this bunch of criminal idiots  :angryfire: Please, everyone, never ever buy a product from Volkswagen ...

Re: Cold Water Riding Guide

"breathable" material is relative in winter conditions on the water... As soon as the outside temperature is way below inside temperature (inside the drysuit), no water vapor can diffuse from inside to outside = zero breathability This is thermodynamics. And I experienced exactly this with my drysui...
