Re: Cauipe, we have a problem!

The simple truth is: All beaches and costal areas will experience severe destructions in the next years / decades, due to climate change. This will happen. Sooner or later. And with increasing frequency. Last winter in Germany lots of baches were completely destroyed by storms and large waves. Concr...

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

18 m lines are too short for the smaller Ufos, from my point of view. I tried 18 m with the 5 m² V1 and it was too nervos / sensitive for my taste (and I really like fast kites). 21 m is much more relaxed and still very fast (for 3 / 4 / 5 m² Ufos). It was really surprising for me how much of a diff...

Re: inverted Ufo

Thanks everyone, very helpful! I had inflated the kite more than properly. I always pump as hard as possible with my whole body weight on the pump piston. Which equals ca. 11 PSI. Maybe I have not fixed the velcro on the deflate valve perfectly... Everything seems fine now, after inspection. No leak...

inverted Ufo

Experienced something weird recently: I dropped my 4 m² UFO V2 on the water surface. Nothing special, leading edge down, not a real slam either. No idea how and why, but the kite immidiately relaunched inverted (front tube "above" the canopy, bent into the wrong direction). Before I knew it, the def...

Re: Reef break Kite spot in Europe

Fuerteventura. Gran Canaria. Tenerife. Hundreds of reef breaks, waves of every size and force. A bit tricky to find wind and waves simultaneously (as always in Europe): (Trade) winds in Summer, waves (swell) in winter. But even in Summer you´ll find some decent wind swell off the north shore of Fuer...

Re: Airton Cozzolino | One Goal | Cape Verde 2024

What an amazing story. Really nice guy, humble and sympathetic.
Now that he speaks English very well (compared to several years ago when I stopped listening to him and the other pros) he really can tell a lot of quite relevant stuff about life in general.
Thanks for posting this.

Re: Windrange on foil - what kite to get?

Hi all! I have a 12m fs soul which I like for low end foiling (7-14kn). For the slightly higher wind I wanna get preferably 1 kite to have a nice experience with and practice gybes and tacks further. -Wind range it needs to cover is between 10 and let's say gusting 19/20 knots. -I'm 72kg -I'm ridin...

Re: Small wing foil for kite foil (sk8, armstrong, ketos...)

I have measured the thickness of the SK8 750: 13 mm at the thickest point (center).

Re: Small wing foil for kite foil (sk8, armstrong, ketos...)

Wow, those new Gong foils look really good! Wasn´t aware that they bring out such new stuff. Looks very similar to the f-one SK8 at first sight. About the thickness of the SK8: I have to measure it, will do. Yes, I use the carbon mast (HM carbon, 14 mm, the current model). You can use the alu mast a...

Re: Small wing foil for kite foil (sk8, armstrong, ketos...)

Wanted to add: I´m only foiling stapless on a 100 cm board, 10 liters of volume.
Don´t do any tricks / maneuvers, only playing in the waves.
If you do a lot of maneuvers and if you maintain speed, then the SK8 might be a great fit four your riding.
