Re: Foil kite drying, cracked it.

I just drop it on the floor in the cellar and let this Baby run:

If it is really wet than it takes two days, otherwise one day or less.

Re: How to flush sand out of a foil kite.

Bought this one for my house but it is also superb for drying kites. So inflate the Soul, let this one run and after a day it should be totally dry.

Re: Portugal Fuseta or Peniche

Peniche has heavy waves, very good for surfing and when the waves are on, the swell is full of surfers. Obidos is nice... but get red kites, the sand there will turn it red/brown anyway. Sadly I do not know Fuseta.

Re: Line Check FS Soul?

My 12 Soul came with the mixer at B -1 cm, which makes rear lines 4cm longer. There was a statement from Flysurfer saying that the brake lines can be up to 4cm longer when the kite is new. I guess it's made to compensate for the initially expected shrinkage in B. I fly mine with equal lines and a 5...

Re: Line Check FS Soul?

After 12 years of LEI kite I just assumed we always check all lines for equal length. No reason to change that. If you have to make some adjustments for front line/back line lengths do it in the kite, not in the flying lines. I thought about it since I use the bar that does not give you an option t...

Re: Core Nexus in Gusty Wind

I have Nexus in 10,8,6m and also ride in gusty conditions quite often and like them very much :thumb:
I use them for wave, foiling, freestyle and also boosting with the 10m when the wind is blowing hard ;)

Re: Flying footswitch learning time

There's two kinds of flying foot switch. Front foot and back foot. The one you see in all the videos is front foot. You keep the front foot in position and move the back foot forward. That's quite hard and takes a lot of timing to get right. The back foot switch is where you position the back foot ...

Re: Speed 5 vs. Soul

7 knots is what Flysurfer says on their homepage... but that is maybe not considering big wings, so yes, 7knots should be very likely, maybe 6 but I think wind speed is hard to measure in those light winds (and also where you measure it).
