Re: Kite line re-coating

Off course you dont do the candle trick on lines that show heavy wear! People should also use their brains. There is no picture which for sure would help in advicing. I'm talking (as written) about the usual "wear" that you get already quite soon at the position where your lines cross when looping. ...

Re: Kite line re-coating

If its the part where they rub because of looping.... I take a candle, rub it on the areas, then close my hand around the line and move up and down repeatingly. The parafin then nicely melts on/in the line. Works good enough for me.

Re: Odo Kiteboarding Kites

Zian's full kite line-up was 3 strut at launch while NKB had only 5 strut at that time so quite a difference I would say. Never the less, off course with people from that factory behind Zian you get similar manufacturing at starting points.

10c/m? Even in bulk 12 braided quality lines from the manufacturers in Europe cost a lot more than this.

Re: Depower Lines Wear, Strength, Replacement

Answer to your question is 4.7mm (any between 4 and 5 will do). Its the DPL-7 line from Teufelberger (if its the same as Duotone/North).

Re: 2018 North Click bar line strength?

As on all their bars they (still) use FL-10 from Teufelberger (recoded to Tarifa 340T in 2018). These 8 stain lines are 340N minimum. Indeed at the splice this number can be lower.

Re: New lines - Dyneema Sk99

Thinner lines = less drag = faster response .... that is probably what you are talking about. Same thickenss and elasticity.... doubt anybody will feel a difference on steering as the force/weight is relatively low. People are not really objective if they know on forehand what they use. A blind test...

Re: Is there a quick method to convert a low v bar to a high v?

You can also ride your North with low V. You may like it. If not, you better do some splicing but only easy. take 30cm kiteline and make loop (which is large enough to add/remove a small SSl ring later) over 1 frontline (to which the safety is NOT attached) at 5m height then splice both ends (12 CM ...

Re: Who has Crazyfly kite? Are they durable ? How is the quality?

Yes the only ones. Take note though. Salary in Eastern Europe is far from high and dont increase as fast as in Asia. Also, we have our factory in Sri Lanka. This means that all manterials (of which multiple from EU) first goes to Sri Lanka and then back to EU again. If the most part of your bussines...
