Re: nomad vs SB

Nomads relaunch fine if its windy. Just don't buy them in large sizes and expect them to relaunch well in light winds. I'm not sure why they even make a 13.

Re: Ocean Rodeo Predator

I have the suit and don't think it's worth the price premium unless you are surfing. A Pyro Pro or similar suit will do you fine. No complaints with my suit, but if I had to do it again I'd get a Pyro Pro. I'd be on the water quicker, with less hassles and a couple hundred more in my wallet. I've g...

kiting out of Berlin in November

I'll be in Berlin Nov 15-19 and was looking for kitespots within an hour drive or so. Anybody still kiting the Baltic this time of year? (Don't worry, I have a drysuit.) What size kites should I bring? Any place to rent a board so I don't have to pay exhorbitant airline fees to bring one?
Danke!

Anyone from the US kiting La Prea Brazil?

Anyone from the US going to La Prea Brazil soon? I left a bar/lines at the Kite Hotel Brazil and shipping it back to the US looks like it will be difficult and costly. I'd greatly appreciate it (and of course pay you) if someone could bring it back to the US and send it to me in Massachussetts. Than...

Re: what is a good powerboat to kite from?

I have a Seadoo jetboat that works well. Doesn't require much water, very little exposed hardware to get snagged on lines, platform on the back for launching. I find that smaller is better, as a big boat can be hard to anchor on a sandy bottom when its really windy.

surfboards in Prea/Jeri

Going to Prea next week and trying to decide whether to pay the extra airline fees to bring a surfboard. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a kite surfboard locally and what the approximate cost would be there? Thanks!

Re: Trouble upwind bodydragging with 12m Cabrinha SB IDS 201

It can be hard to bodydrag upwind when you're overpowered, which you would have been on a 12M at 25 mph. There is a limited amount of surface area on your "keel" (arm and body) to resist the downwind pull of the kite, so it only works within a certain range.

Re: Ocean Rodeo Mako - Repair Advice?

Had a similar issue with my Mako 140 and I used Loctite Marine Epoxy which I bought at home depot. Clamped the board together while letting it dry and it has been holding up fine for over a year.
