Re: Wingfoil is building faster than everything

Interesting that there are people find winging to learn easier than kiting. I have seen complete unsportliche banking sissies getting back and forth with in 4 days at lake Garda. There would be no way they would have achieved that with winging. The most simple turn is half a day more Jumping, well g...

Impact vests

Hi, happy new year. I am looking for one. Since I never have been in a situation where I wished to have one I am a bit helpless. Most of what I see is mainly for cussioning where the only thind I am worried about is beeing stabbed by the foil. Cussioning surely makes also sense but stabbing protecti...

Re: Aspect Ratio versus straps and strapless?

Hi, HA foils are still out if my league, so i can offer no personal experience. But a discussion on Ose on the Fanatic Glide offered sowmthing that might help One if the praising owners stated that it favored his unstrapped riding by going upright on itself comming out of the turn. Other HA he teste...

Re: Fuselage - which one for DIY wings?

>> If anything it has probably pushed me towards thinking life is too short to spend the time required in the workshop >> YESSSS - I have been tinking about that quite a lot. Theoretically I would do better to spend the time in the Gym to be better prepared for longer sessions... But then isn´t life...

Re: Fuselage - which one for DIY wings?

Hi, just a simple question. Do you have already a foil rig you are riding or would you have to buy mas and Fuse - to start or you dont want to have it any more? I ended up with the conclusion that its nice to have a plan B in case you mess up things or they do not turn out the way you want. If you d...

Re: in what measure a low HF mast can help to progress learning?

I think 1234567Simon really nailed, even it it sound kind of random and dramatic but I exactly hat the same experience. Choose the right conditions. Get as flat water a possible. If nesessary drive 2-3 hours or make vacation trip to a place where you have not more than 10-20cm of chop and nice const...

Re: How to learn to kitefoil in the waves

I only know St Giron and the Guethary Actoz Region. But in both areas I had the impression that there are always places that produce less waves depending on tide and swell size. Eg at dead hightide St Giron is up to 3ft 9sec quite uninteresting for surfing and the channels are clean. With an additio...

Re: Gong foils: discussion

I (90kg) bought a Fluid L (1200cm) for kiting months ago. The spot where I am allowed to kite never had wind when I had time and now is closed over the vacation season. We just had there 20-25kn where my carve xlt and 5m Wing started to get sketchy. Expecially the knee to hip high short wind swell s...

Re: AlpineFoil Access 5.0 for a beginner?

Hi I learned on that. I am 90 kg and had no problems or thought it would be too small (as it might seem sometimes by modern standards. Had a similar thick board which is and was nice. The most problems I had in the beginning to get on the board with out immediately taking off. I found that moving th...

Re: Light Wind (10-15 knots) Gear

HI, I would say what you have is quite ok.0 I (90kg) have a 146 Indiana Inflatable, an Curve XLT and an Takoon 5 and 7m, same amount of sessions as you. When the wind is 10 -15 this is plenty - at least according to the wind meassures I have of my sessions. When the wind is 10 +/- a bigger front win...
