Re: Footstrap inserts rotating - Help needed!

Before doing anything drastic I would try this. Give the screws a soak with penetrating oil, liquid wrench, blaster, anyone of them really. Leave it for a few hours. Then you need to try stop the insert from spinning. Get under the strap close to the bolt and insert with a small pry bar or flat scr...

Re: Footstrap inserts rotating - Help needed!

I suppose I could also offer some tips to get started... If the insert is already loose, it should probably slip out of the board as you remove the foot strap. However, if the base of the insert is flared it might take some extra effort to get it out. In this case, you can use a dremel or a grinder ...

Re: Footstrap inserts rotating - Help needed!

take it to a decent Cycle shop, they can screw an "easy out screw extractor" into the bolt and remove it (assuming the insert is not moving). If it's the insert thats moving then the board is knackered and not worth repairing, although you can reset new inserts using epoxy, but it's probably not wo...

Re: Liquid Force Mission Control v2 kinks

Hi, did anyone try Mission Control v1? Maybe original one is better one? Or is it wise to skip Mission Control all together and look for something else? Thanks! I have the V2 as well. Can confirm it was a bit sticky at first. After about 5 rides on the water it loosened up. Today, after dozens of d...

Epic Kites in 2020

I'm just curious if there's anyone here who can give an honest comparison to performance having flown older Epic kites (screamer/renegade) to the new ones. I own 2 renegades, 6m & 11m from 2012/2013 and I was curious about the newer versions. The 11m I currently own has stood the test of time and ab...

Re: 17m kite Overkill

Yes, it's a session saver. But the best use for a 17 Contra IMHO is to ride it powered in the same wind speeds others are riding 14-15 m LEI's. The 17 m Contra is relatively heavy so, while it's a good light wind machine, it can't compete with large foil kites in very light wind. But it's a great a...

Re: Foilholio wants to destroy kiteforum - any help to stop him appreciated

he was a twat on the climate change thread altho there was a few I disagree. He had a different opinion from you and me but he addressed critical questions and I think was able to support his opinion quite well. I missed the part where he was offensive to people. Personally I appreciated his contri...

Re: Liquid force kiteboarding stops business

Good riddance. Such a misogynistic company! Its true. When my gf was just starting she struggled a bit. I thought it was because her tits were too big but it turned out the problem was the liquid force aura board, designed and marketed by people who hate women and want them to fail LOL - Sounds leg...

Re: Liquid force kiteboarding stops business

but these total tanks of boards that were not too fun to ride. :thumb: I wonder how many guys bought cheap Funny foil and quit because of lack of performance and weight. Or on the other hand bought one to test the sport and oh so quickly out grew it and found it hard to resell because word got out....
